Hilarious: Princeton President Brings a DOE Investigation Down on His Own School
DB Daily Update ^ | David Blackmon

Posted on 09/17/2020 12:06:35 PM PDT by EyesOfTX

This story is almost too good to be true. The federal Department of Education notified Princeton University today that it was placing the school under a civil rights-related investigation. The hilarious reason for the investigation is due to virtue-signaling remarks made during the Democrat-sponsored summer of rioting by the University’s own President.

I kid you not.

As reported by the Washington Examiner today, Princeton President Christopher L. Eisgruber published an open letter earlier this month claiming that “[r]acism and the damage it does to people of color persist at Princeton” and that “racist assumptions” are “embedded in structures of the University itself.”

The DOE has responded with a letter to Princeton – obtained by the Examiner – that informs the school that Eisgruber’s remarks raise concerns over the fact that Princeton has been receiving tens of millions of dollars of federal funds in violation of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which declares that “no person in the United States shall, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance.”

The Examiner’s story quotes the following text from the DOE letter:

“Based on its admitted racism, the U.S. Department of Education (“Department”) is concerned Princeton’s nondiscrimination and equal opportunity assurances in its Program Participation Agreements from at least 2013 to the present may have been false,” the letter reads. “The Department is further concerned Princeton perhaps knew, or should have known, these assurances were false at the time they were made. Finally, the Department is further concerned Princeton’s many nondiscrimination and equal opportunity claims to students, parents, and consumers in the market for education certificates may have been false, misleading, and actionable substantial misrepresentations in violation of 20 U.S.C. § 1094(c)(3)(B) and 34 CFR 668.71(c). Therefore, the Department’s Office of Postsecondary Education, in consultation with the Department’s Office of the General Counsel, is opening this investigation.”

What the Department seeks to obtain from its investigation is what evidence Princeton used in its determination that the university is racist, including all the records regarding Eisgruber’s letter and a “spreadsheet identifying each person who has, on the ground of race, color, or national origin, been excluded from participation in, been denied the benefits of, or been subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance as a result of the Princeton racism or ‘damage’ referenced in the President’s Letter.” Eisgruber and a “designated corporate representative” must sit for interviews under oath, and Princeton must also respond to written questions regarding the matter.

[End]

Is that awesome or what? I just can’t stop laughing about this wonderful story. Seriously, this is me, laughing:

Hysterical Laughing GIFs | Tenor

Far from being a political persecution of Princeton, this is in fact the DOE doing its damn job, given that the Department has a statutory obligation under the nation’s civil rights laws to investigate any legitimate allegations that any school that receives federal funding is guilty of discrimination against minorities, especially the sytemic, “embedded” kind that the school’s own President alleges it is guilty of.

You just could never, never, never, ever make this stuff up, folks.

That is all.

Finally-Finally-Finally

We have laws on the books that we are not enforcing. We are providing funding to really criminal organization, i.e., colleges and universities.

This should also be applied to professors who make racist comments against whites, Jews, Christians, conservatives and men.

Thank you Donald J. Trump

Yeah, so much for all those posters on bulletin boards and around campus “check your whiteness, check your white privilege” as Title 18 laws. How they get away with posting that on campus and universities is beyond me.

I want to see this happen at every “woke” college that has been beating its breast and apologizing for being racist...

It’s time for ‘us’ to start fighting back by making complaints to the Dept. of Ed and the Civil rights commission. Every time we hear of one of these incident, a complaint needs to be filed.

In the 1950s there was a joke going around that there were more Communists teaching in Princeton University than we’re teaching in Moscow U., later, in the 60s, it was discovered that it was not a joke!

And even more true in 2020. The last bastion of Marx, Lenin, Mao, Castro etc, the liberal arts departments of nearly every college and university in the U.S.

The government could do this with companies who have contracts with the federal government or those companies that own tv and radio stations. It is against civil rights laws to be racist while getting government contracts or having government broadcast licenses. Thus any admission of guilt by any corporate entities of having past “structural racist policies” might lead to them being threatened with fines or withdrawals of federal contracts or operating licenses. Talk about virtue signal weinies being hoisted on their own petards....wow!

Sounds like some ceo’s may need to shut up lest their public words be used against them in a court of law.
