What we love does not always make sense.
In ancient Roman myth Aeneas had a clear duty to found a new city in Italy but exhaustion and the need to rest from storms and war forced him to dally in Carthage and break Dido’s heart.
He couldn’t please everyone.
Now the world sees a clear proven template for democracy and freedom.
For a long time we have rightfully believed that America was founded and defined by:
The Constitution. The Declaration Of Independence. The Gettysburg Address.
But now some people in the great big family that is the Democrats see the first slave trade as the start. Even statues of Washington, TR and Lincoln are not safe.
The worst of the new founding mothers want:
BLM orthodoxy to be unchallenged Bigger Obamacare Feminist misandry to be able to make its attacks unchallenged A “greener” America The end of reverence for the founding fathers “Don’t offend me” to replace the first amendment
Which of the competing conceptions of America will prevail?
What will Biden do with the agenda huge parts of his party's youth wing wants?
What can survive of the old vision of the founding fathers?
Will the Democrats tear themselves apart over the definition of America?
Biden will do what ever Obama orders him to do.
And Obama follows the guidance of self-declared communist Bill Ayers.
Most Americans are completely oblivious to what's been happening in our country over the last several decades.
Those two things are opposites. Oxymoronic, if you will.
… Now the world sees a clear proven template for democracy and freedom. …
The Founders sought to make them work with structure, checks and balances.
The checks and balances are weak and out of balance, but they have held the structure together to make the greatest nation on earth, ever.
There is still a chance to restore and repair the structure and checks and balances.
They never mention democracy except in terms of it being anathema to their goals.
Meanwhile, Woodrow Wilson back in 1887 said that “socialism and democracy are almost, if not quite, one and the same”.
