Alright, I clicked through and read the article. She got the news from the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, not from NICS or the Federal Government. She was applying for a concealed-carry permit. That is handled through (oddly enough) the FL Department of Agriculture, which is headed by anti-Trump Nikki Fried, the only Democrat elected to statewide office.
And you are correct. Soon we will all be Laura Loomer. I still wish we would have fought as a group when we had the chance. It is a hell of a lot better to die fighting than on your knees begging. Granted you are just as dead either way. But........
