Time for Georgia Legislature to get rid of tax incentives. North Carolina Legislature did that like 10 years ago. They realized that it was not worth the investment. Sure enough Hollywood stopped producing in North Carolina and moved to nearby Georgia instead.

Hard to believe that the studio will eat $15 Million in additional costs for movie that will probably be lucky to break even as it is. Well it is their money, I bet they aren’t getting any tax breaks in Louisiana.
It always amazes me, that Hollywood is liberal, and their home base is in a liberal state, yet they choose to go to some other states, based on tax incentives and other inducements.
If they really want to prove their liberalism, they would stay in Hollywood and pay the higher production costs associated with filming in California.
Of if the Hollywood liberals were intellectually honest, they would only produce their content in liberal places.

The day the property tax bills showed up in the mail they were the first ones hot-footing it down to the Assessor’s Office to get the number reduced.
The filming is being moved to Louisiana, which requires voter ID, has fewer days of early voting, and does not allow no-excuse absentee voting — ie more restrictive than Georgia. Take a bow, Apple, Will Smith & Georgia Democrats!
