When both Secretary of State Lloyd Austin and General Mark Milley deferred to the State Department as to the number of American citizens left behind in Afghanistan, Senator Jim Inhofe then cited the State Department to show that the number is at least 4000. As you can see, this caused Milley to have a very visible Maalox Moment.

4,000 at the minimum? Holy schiff! That song from the Green Berets coomes to mind, “Fighting soldiers from the sky.......”, but seriously, what should be happening is
1) we infil eyes on the ground to maintain overwatch on the treatment of our citizens
2) A rescue force should be emplaced. At first enough of a force to do the job
3) A much larger “punitive” force should begin very publically staging, once #’s 1 and 2 are completed and ready.
Yep it’s could be bloody and ugly, if the SHTF, but I think the Taliban will simply not kill, but would release, our citizens, with our ability to take revenge, particularly on theiir leadership.
Early on he said he'd not had any communication with President Trump regarding his own communications with the commie chinese a-holes about an attack being ordered by PDJT, and then after resuming post-lunch break, Milley said he was "directed" to have conversations with the CCP that no attack was imminent to "ease their fears."
