Please pray for my mother. She fell Thurs/Fri night and broke the ball of her thigh. She is to have surgery TOMORROW, @ 10 am Eastern.

I am in total melancholy about this, because I have not been able to help her - at the very same time she told us of her fall, I was getting sick.
We ended up (finally - she would not listen to me and go earlier) at the ER the same time, she by ambulance because my cousin (only attendant) certainly could not move her.
As a result she got in for exam right away, but I waited in the waiting room for 7 hrs before I got in for my gastrointestinal problems. They did let me pop in and check on her in the ER before I was in myself. That is the only time I've seen her. Today twice I've talked to her on the phone (difficult with her lousy hearing).
I am better - just a bug or food - but really can't risk going to her until I'm all better.
I'm scared for several reasons. It scares me I've been kept from her, and what if this is it? It upsets me greatly!
Please pray for her, to stay healthy enough prior for surgery tomorrow early. And of course for the surgery.

Keep an eye on her. My aunt died because she broke her hip and then she got sick while in the hospital.
Make sure she stays healthy, like not sick, while she gets treatment.

I worked as a nurse for 30 years in a hospital. Your mom will do well, albeit after is kind of tough due to discomfort but I prayed for her to be okay, too. They are very careful in surgeries, do them a lot and in all the time I was a nurse, and saw many many surgeries postoperatively everyone made it through and went on to rehab afterwards. :)
