Propaganda by the Biden Administration is LEGAL - Stealth 2013 law signed by Obama!

How did we come to inhabit a society in which the government itself continually carries out psyops against the populace?

It's common knowledge that governments, including ours use propaganda on foreign soil. It helps win wars. This largely came about in 1948 with the Smith-Mundt act which prohibited our government from ever using such biased, misleading, if not downright untruthful messages on the American public. This is what formed the Voice of America and other venues.

In 2013 President Barack Obama signed into law the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act (H.R. 5736), making it legal for government-produced media—such as was broadcast overseas by Voice of America, Radio Free Europe, and other outlets throughout the Cold War—to be directed toward U.S. citizens themselves. Needless to say, such government-penned narratives spin the news so as to reflect favorably upon the United States. To understand the sheer power of the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act, it suffices to do a quick Google of the name of this piece of legislation to see how it has generated a logical quandary befitting of Orwell’s Nineteen Eigthy-Four. For if it is true that the American people are being propagandized by the U.S. government through its control of the major media outlets and tech giants, then any assertion to that effect will be countered—and ultimately defeated—by yet more government propaganda.

The fact that the complete negation of the original Smith-Mundt Act was deceptively labeled the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act marked the first stage in what might be termed the Orwellian turn. Unsurprisingly, a lengthy list of articles calling out the alleged piece of “disinformation” that “Barack Obama legalized government propaganda against citizens” appears at the top of the Google search results. Among the critics who warned about the new Act was now-deceased investigative journalist Michael Hastings, who also, it is worth mentioning, expressed concern about the dangerous influence of the Pentagon’s “public relations” wing, which already by 2009 employed 27,000 persons full-time as war marketeers. A number of other notable figures who sounded alarms about the dangers of government propaganda and overreach are now dead, imprisoned, or living in exile.

The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 (signed into law as a part of the National Defense Authorization Act of 2013) arguably set the United States on the path toward the erection of a full-fledged Ministry of Truth and the consequent shrinking of citizens’ liberty. Only time will tell whether this piece of legislation alone will suffice, as deployed by the new Disinformation Governance Board, to strip citizens of their First Amendment right to free speech when they attempt to reject the first premises of the DGB itself. If so, then Barack Obama will bear primary responsibility for the totalitarian system to ensue, whatever his intentions may have been.

For with the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act already in place, there are only two short steps to the complete squelching of dissent. First, the government controls the media through injecting many pro-government texts into the marketplace of ideas. This is obviously already being done, and has been unabashedly pursued since the ratification of the Act. (To dispel any doubts that this is happening, it suffices to turn on the mainstream network news.) Second, among the government-promoted ideas will now be the claim that the newly established Disinformation Governance Board does not violate the Constitution of the United States. Once lawmakers have been persuaded to believe this, then the DGB will have the power to eliminate what they themselves have identified as disinformation, including the very claim that the DGB is illegitimate. After that will follow the censorship of the texts of anyone who disagrees with the government and, ultimately, the criminalization of those who “persist” in promulgating ideas deemed “threatening” by the powers that be. The danger of all of this to free people is very real, as the plight of whistleblowers in recent years has already revealed. snip

The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act, contained within the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013, eased some restrictions so that media produced by the U.S. Agency for Global Media and intended for foreign audiences could be distributed domestically upon request, according to its text. Prior to its passage, the content was banned from being disseminated in America.

I keep forgetting to focus on this un-American act perpetrated on the American people by the US Congress, which is now largely controlled by political Zionists. Basically, the Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012 (SMMA) allows the US Government to treat the American people as enemies of the state – just as they would treat a foreign enemy. Does that help explain why we are having so many problems with government these days? Let me explain from a layman’s legal perspective what I am referring to here.

The SMMA started out as H. R. 5736 on May 10, 2012 for the declared purpose “To amend the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 to authorize the domestic dissemination of information and material about the United States intended primarily for foreign audiences, and for other purposes.”

Interestingly enough, section 208 part (b), relating to “Domestic Distribution of Program Material” says:

“Nothing in this section shall be construed to prohibit the Department of State or the Broadcasting Board of Governors from engaging in any medium or form of communication, either directly or indirectly, because a United States domestic audience is or may be thereby exposed to program material or based on a presumption of such exposure.”

The almost un-American ACLU views this as a positive step in supporting the First Amendment ‘freedom of speech.’ Really??? That’s a tough spin on the subject. I won’t go into details here, but I’ll post a link to their website article dated May 25, 2012. It may be worthwhile to note, however, that one commenter on the ACLU website has written “Taking the position that I pay for the government to lie me legally is suicide and wrong. This position of support for this by the ACLU is vile.”

The Smith-Mundt Modernization Act of 2012, was eventually buried within the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2013 (section 1078 (a)), passed into public law, effective on January 2, 2013, and the SMMA portion amended the United States Information and Educational Exchange Act of 1948 and the Foreign Relations Authorization Act of 1987, allowing for materials produced by the State Department and the Broadcasting Board of Governors (BBG) to be available within the United States. Oh, please. The government has been propagandizing and indoctrinating us since long before Bush and Cheney. It’s just getting more obvious each day.

Been there done that it doesn’t work. Spent years on the Hillsborough County FL Republican Committee. It was crooked back in 1986. Only to get my butt busted trying to go against the state committee’s “recommendations”. Follow the money. People like Soros get county attorneys elected because he pumps millions into their campaigns at the state level from his PAC’s. Florida has 55 counties. With most flawed and lazy humans, money talks. Your view is naivete cubed.

I remember when Obama did this. It flew right over the radar. This was the biggest step to ruin that happened years ago. Nothing has been the same since.

I’ve been telling anyone who would listen since the day that Sheikh Obama (piss be upon him) left the White House that it would take 20 years of true conservative (non-RINO) administrations to root out all the totalitarian “land mines” that America’s first Affirmative Action President left behind.

Not to forget he didn’t bother to bury them too deep because he had hand-chosen Hitlery Klinton to be his successor, and her administration’s charge was to make certain that all traces of the fingerprints of Sheikh Obama (PBUH) were erased.

Honestly, it was never discussed much. I would assume that the law not mentioned by the media much because they would be the ones implementing the new propaganda for the state. Which is certainly what happened.
