This morning I have tried to help a guy in poverty in Melbourne, Australia, find the right people to help him sell some amazing sporting memorabilia. And the police became involved. Ridiculous? Yes. But life in Australia is like that now.
He wants $20,000 for one item. It is an autographed football which he tells me his father gave him. Some of the names are icons of the multi-billion dollar industry which is the Australian code of football now.
I put him in contact with someone I considered a wonderful human being at what I still think is probably a great charity to help.
My thinking was that if he gave them a good commission, then they would be better motivated to help him get a good price.
The woman I trusted involved the police in this meeting for no good reason that I could see.
One of the police involved was concealing his identity and that made me angry.
Please, Freeepers, read the attached post, in the source URL, and read the associated links and tell me what you think.
I have more freedom of speech with you than I do in the country of my birth.
Is that how the news reporters talk Down Under?
Indeed!

Why didn’t you just post it instead of your comments, and then post your comments in the comment section (instead of posting clickbait)? Is that a strange concept to you?
When the big war against China, Russia, and Persia happens in the next 30 years.
The Anglosphere countries are going to have some serious propaganda issues, when trying to compare countries and get cannon fodder recruits.
The US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand are all run by the same type of liberal control freak.
No sane person would die for these liberal losers in a future war.
I’m sorry for the way it is going in your country.
What you are experiencing is why I am totally against socialism.
I do warn people against what you are experiencing, but too many people are convinced they can have their freedom and social goodies at the same time.
Ya might want to tone down that headline a bit. Maybe... lest the thread get pulled.
I am sorry to hear that when you tried to help someone in need, these various obstacles arose. From what you described, I can’t understand why the middleman (or lady) decided to get the police involved.
Did you write that? If so, what is the story?
You made the point of mentioning bullying, but not what was done.
The chick involved the police but you think she has a heart of gold.
No conclusion of the homeless guy you were helping but then abandoned.
How does a charity fit in with a auction of the guy’s stuff?
“Ya might want to tone down that headline a bit. Maybe... lest the thread get pulled.”
Thanks for the advice.
The S-word is vulgar.
I think the force of that vulgar word is necessary for me to express how I feel and that is a part of freedom of speech but I do need to be careful about where I use it.
“When the big war against China, Russia, and Persia happens in the next 30 years.
The Anglosphere countries are going to have some serious propaganda issues ....... “
thanks Uncle Bankster,
We do not need to wait 30 years to consider the very relevant issue of propaganda strengths and weaknesses, which are vital in getting victory in softer cultural war, instead of killing other people and suffering our own casualties in a harder conflict.
What is at issue right now in Australia’s part of the world and which is at the core of my life, is minimising the extent to which Indonesia, the fourth biggest country in the world by population, aligns with china.

Don’t use it here, and especially in a headline, it isn’t forceful it is merely vulgar, the left is using it and others everywhere now as another hammer to chip off pieces of our dignity and culture.
Reading all your post in this thread, I suspect you may have started drinking by noon Wednesday.
