Less than two years after Trump’s reelection was stolen from him, most Americans are now living paycheck to paycheck as #Bidenflationary policies from the regime and massive congressional Democrat spending have combined to drive up prices for everything from energy to housing and food.
“As of August, 60% of Americans were living paycheck to paycheck, according to a recent LendingClub report — a number that hasn’t budged much since inflation hit 40-year highs. A year ago, the number of adults who felt stretched too thin was closer to 55%,” CNBC reported this week.
“Even high-income earners are feeling the strain, the report found. Of those earning more than six figures, 45% reported living paycheck to paycheck, a jump from the previous year’s 38%,” the outlet noted further.

As was pointed out in another thread, the cost of heating fuel (propane/natural gas/electricity) has increased significantly, and we haven’t even gotten into the winter heating season yet. When the winter utility bills start coming that could very well push a lot of people over the financial edge. You know, the same people who are currently maxing out their credit cards to buy daily necessities such as groceries and gas.
Gavin Newsom came up with a solution to this problem: mail out more stimulus checks!
That’s my concern. I’m in good shape now, however, if it is a really cold winter it will impact discretionary spending.

When wife got pregnant 20 years ago we knew we had to make do with one paycheck, and we did.
As the economy got better and I got promoted and raises, we still lived frugally - didn't have to, but chose to. It's a mind-set - live simply and less stressfully.
8% inflation will suck the life out of families. Everything is more expensive each day. No escape.
There is an opportunity to use this as a teaching moment.
Just because they pull in a 6-figure salary working for the FedGov doesn’t mean they’re any better at managing their money than the average crackhead.
We should not fool ourselves into thinking this is just a Democrat problem. Both parties teamed up to dump an obscene amount of money into the system after Covid. This is a system wide problem that we should never repeat.
