In Australia, the most outspoken critic of the false imprisonment of Cardinal George Pell (https://freedom-demokrasi-and-civilised-humanity.com/2021/10/05/australia-is-not-a-free-country/) was the conservative columnist and television host Andrew Bolt.
Bolt is an atheist.
I believe that, if all the Christians, who knew that what was done to Pell was wrong, had spoken up as Bolt did, then the cowardly bullies of the Socialist Left government, whose politicized police force attacked Pell, would have backed down.
But with a few exceptions (Fathers Kevin Donnelly and Frank Brennan and Bishop Anthony Fisher) the churches and clergy were spectacularly silent.
Such attacks will continue in places like Australia as long as Christians do not defend their rights.
May God save us from cowardice in the face of tyranny and give us the strength to oppose the secular evils attacking Christians over far too much of the Western World.
