A former producer for ABC News was arrested Tuesday on federal charges of transporting child pornography.
James Gordon Meek, who lives in Arlington, Va., had several devices seized from his home by the FBI last April, the Department of Justice said in a statement. According to court documents, they contained images of children engaged in sexually explicit conduct.
Authorities also found multiple chat conversations with users who expressed enthusiasm for sexually abusing children.
The Department of Justice said that, in two of those conversations, a username allegedly associated with Meek received and distributed child sexual abuse materials through an internet-based messaging platform.

These reports should say now-ex or while employed by ABC or similar to make very clear that he was an employee when he committed the despicable acts, maybe they had hint or knew, or covered for him. Maybe some of his new former colleges involved as well?

I don’t know if this guy is guilty of child porn or not, what I will say is the guy was involved in military and intelligence community investigative reporting.
He covered the killing of 4 Special Forces soldiers in Niger and the disastrous plan by the Biden Administration pullout of Afghanistan.
His residence was raided by the FBI and he was not seen since, at the time he was not charged with any crime and reportedly was in possession of classified material.

If he’s guilty of child porn then he deserves to rot in jail, but something tells me he was investigating something inside the Biden Administration that made them really angry and nervous and these charges could be payback.

If the guy is guilty of the child porn charges, he deserves to rot in jail.
But, there could be something more to this story, as you say was investigating the Biden Administration and has contacts in the intelligence community, combined with he went missing around the recent FBI raid is he might have information about something the Biden Administration doesn’t want to go public.

I have no idea whether Meek is guilty of the child porn charges. But, based on the KNOWN history of the DOJ/FBI, we now have to ask whether the stuff was “found” or “planted” on the computers . . .
