Nevada rejected a higher number of mail-in ballots in the 2022 election than the final vote margin that decided a close Senate race last year, according to an analysis obtained by The Daily Signal.
The Public Interest Legal Foundation, a conservative election watchdog group, found that 8,036 ballots were rejected. Democratic incumbent Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto defeated Republican challenger Adam Laxalt by 7,928 votes. So, 108 more votes were rejected than the final tally that separated the two candidates.
The analysis also found that 95,556 ballots—almost 5% of those listed on the state’s active voter lists—were sent to undeliverable addresses. Meanwhile, an additional 1.2 million ballots were never mailed back to election officials, according to the analysis of data from the office of Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar, who was first elected in November.
“A total of 8,036 rejected ballots out of nearly 513,000 returned may not seem significant, but in this context, it is a reasonable question as to what can be done to reduce the failure rates,” the legal foundation’s report says. “The Silver State relies on signature verification when processing mail ballots. This means human eyes compare marks on file against return envelopes to determine which get rejected.”
The report continues: “In 2022, a Las Vegas Review-Journal columnist reported on how he successfully tricked signature reviewers into accepting six ballots with his signature affixed. In the 2020 election, the columnist got eight ballots accepted.”
The findings do not prove—nor does the report claim—the election results would have turned out differently or that the incumbent’s margin of victory would have changed if fewer ballots were rejected, if fewer were sent to bad addresses, or if more ballots were returned. It’s impossible to know which candidate would have benefited if the 8,036 votes had been counted.
“There is totally no way to know if this affected the outcome,” J. Christian Adams, president of the Public Interest Legal Foundation, told The Daily Signal. “But we shouldn’t even have to ask the question.”
Of the rejected ballots, the report says 2,133 were from registered Democrats; 2,307 were from Republicans; and the most—3,596—were from “other.”
Nevada law requires county election officials to automatically mail ballots to all “active” registrants on the voter rolls.
“Mail-in ballots disenfranchise people. They get lost. They get rejected,” Adams said. “Mail-in ballots are a problem to begin with. Automatic mail ballots are a disaster, and these Nevada numbers prove it.”
The legal foundation also argues that mailing ballots to every active registered voter wasted taxpayer dollars, as about $2 million was spent on ballots sent to bad addresses or that were never returned.
“It is still fair to assume that the bulk of these were ignored or ultimately thrown out by the intended recipients,” the report says of the 1.2 million unreturned ballots. “Still, the information gap naturally occurring in mass-mail elections remains: The public cannot know how many ballots were disregarded, delivered to wrong mailboxes, or even withheld from the proper recipient by someone at the same address.”
The Nevada secretary of state’s office did not respond to a request for comment from The Daily Signal for this article.

1) 98.5% of returned ballots had no issues.
2) What can be done to reduces failures? Aside from forcing someone to write clearly, what can you do? A 1.5% failure rate seems pretty low.

Given the catch-all "in any way abridged" wording of Section 2 of the 14th Amendment, that section a penalty for states where ballot box fraud has occurred, Arizona may need to lose all Democratic representation in the House for 2025-2027 legislative session imo.

But when the right to vote at any election for the choice of electors for President and Vice President of the United States, Representatives in Congress, the Executive and Judicial officers of a State, or the members of the Legislature thereof, is denied to any of the male inhabitants of such State, being twenty-one years of age, and citizens of the United States, or in any way abridged, except for participation in rebellion, or other crime, the basis of representation therein shall be reduced in the proportion which the number of such male citizens shall bear to the whole number of male citizens twenty-one years of age in such State." Regarding Section 2, consider that the post-Civil War congressional Republicans who drafted Section 2 made it to discourage Southern Democrats (my words) from rigging the ballot boxes that Democrats are now alleged to have done for 2020, 2022 and possibly earlier elections!

If this were a better world, all J6 lawmakers who obstructed due process of Section 2 by voting to ignore allegations of vote-counting fraud in the name of state sovereignty, state sovereignty otherwise blatantly ignored by the unconstitutionally big federal government, need to lose their offices under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment for open rebellion against their responsibility to protect and defend Section 2 above.

In fact, J6 lawmakers who supported Biden also ignored state violation of 12th Amendment electoral vote counting procedures, evidenced by state winner-take-all laws for electoral votes. After all, such laws effectively nullify the electoral votes of some electors, giving other electors more than one vote.
In fact, Justice Joseph Story had warned that the consequence of corrupt, constitutionally undefined (my wording) political parties dividing a state's electoral votes is that it effectively neutralizes a state's electoral votes.

All MAGA patriots need to wake up their RINO federal and state lawmakers by making the following clear to them.
If they don’t publicly support either a resolution, or a Constitutional Convention, to effectively "secede" ALL the states from the unconstitutionally big federal government by amending the Constitution to repeal the 16th (direct taxes) and 17th (popular voting for federal senators) Amendments (16&17A), doing so before the primary elections in 2024, that YOU will primary them.
If the proposed amendment was limited strictly to repealing 16&17A, relatively little or ideally no discussion would be needed before ratification of the amendment imo.
With 16&17A out of the way, my hope is that Trump 47 becomes the FIRST president of a truly constitutionally limited power federal government.
In the meanwhile, I'm not holding my breath for significant MAGA legislation to appear in the first 100 days of new term for what may still prove to be another RINO-controlled House.
In other words, primarying RINOs in 2022 was just for practice. Trump will hopefully do another round of primarying for 2024 elections.
