In January 2023, two years after leaving office Mike Pence admitted to Congress and the federal government that he was holding classified documents at his home. He took the documents illegally with him when he left office in January 2021.
Mike Pence told CNN in November 2022 that he did not take any classified documents with him when he left office. Obviously, that was a lie.
As vice president, Mike Pence, like Joe Biden, could not take classified documents. It was illegal for them both to do so. Joe Biden has been holding classified documents since 1974.
On Monday Trump-hating FOX News host Bret Baier sat down with President Trump for an interview. Baier attacked and smeared the president from start to finish.
At one point Baier asked Trump about his “classified documents” he had declassified and was holding at his home in Mar-a-Lago. President Trump pointed out that Mike Pence and Joe Biden were holding classified documents illegally after they left office. Joe Biden was holding classified documents in several locations and was sharing them with Hunter’s business partners for their illicit deals with foreign clients.
Bret Baier was NOT having it! Baier snapped back at Trump, “No he didn’t! He turned them over!”
Bret Baier forgot to mention that it was ILLEGAL for Pence to hold these documents at his home. And Baier forgot to mention that Pence told the media two months earlier that he did not have the documents.

I wondered the same thing when I first heard about the interview. Brett Baier is the last person he should have sat down with. When his show comes on, I immediately turn to Kudlow on FBN.

I did not watch the Interview but based on the way Baier was celebrating, I figured he attacked Trump fairly well. Made him happy. Baier is usually a pushover and there are no obvious follow ups. He lets the Speaker have their way.
Somebody correct me if I’m wrong - I didn’t see it - but I was told he used Dirty Barr quotes to attack Trump.
That would’ve been my queue to ask Democrat Country Club Baier if he asked Barr why Hillary smashing phones and bleaching Servers wasn’t Obstruction.
That’s a big deal.
Much of the Dems hearings and legislative bills are for equity and disparity in the Justice system. If Disparity in the Justice system is important (Obama just said it was the Issue) - then you can’t discard that, and say but we want to get this guy.
Someone needs to put these questions to Barr and his baby Baier.

Barr needs to be asked how Hillary evaded Obstruction charges by these great freedom fighters he champions. Simple Question.
Because if the system of deciding who is one of us, and who has to be tracked down and imprisoned for his life is flawed, then no good person can support this Railroading.

Why is Trump having this discussion? Where’s his attorney?! I just listened to the interview and it sure seems like he hurt himself. Overall Trump wants to excuse his actions because others do it. That didn’t work for us as kids, it won’t work for Trump as president, and I don’t think most voters will like his answers and excuses.
Bret is one of the reasons I don’t watch Fox.
The rude pride..the self rightesness..the stance he takes when he is taking someone apart.. as if he had that right.

Whatever Baier. Trump wasn’t charged with any violation of the code dealing with classified documents. Idiot…

If you bothered to read Barr’s op-ed, you’d see he does think Hillary was guilty of obstruction, and he agrees there is a double standard. He even agrees there is a case to be made that Trump shouldn’t be charged criminally based on the way similar possible charges against Hillary were handled. But he doesn’t think that means that Trump didn’t do anything wrong, or that he doesn’t think Trump brought a lot of his current trouble on himself by they he handled it once the issue of the documents came up.
Are you talking about Bill Barr or Bret Bair?

Cable news is NOT moving any needles.
It has become as irrelevant as the NYT, WashPo, and WSJ.

You stated, as a matter of fact that Trump trusted him.
Prove it!
The issue is not whether or not the interview is moving any needles. The issue is that Trump has now made a bunch of public statements about the case that will limit the possibles defenses his lawyers can use, and those statements can be played for the jury in the case whether Trump wants to testify or not. If any of those statements differ from the evidence the prosecutors present, the jury will see Trump as a liar. There are a number of attorneys that have also opined that Trump basically admitted to the elements of the obstruction charge against him.
Never liked the guy. He reminds me of a 60 Minutes or NBC reporter.
The only person defending Trump was Larry Kudlow. Brit Hume was obnoxious.
