Patsy Cline was born on the 8th of September, 1932, in Winchester, Virginia.
As her words attest, she is a country music great:
“You want me to act like we’ve never kissed, you want to forget; pretend we’ve never met , and I’ve tried and I’ve tried, but I haven’t yet… You walk by, and I fall to pieces.”
“I’m gonna walk a little bit of dog.”
“Oh, I offended you with my opinion? You should hear the the ones I keep to myself.”
“Carnegie Hall was real fabulous, but you know, it ain’t as big as the Grand Ole Opry.”
God Bless Patsy Cline.

“Oh, I offended you with my opinion? You should hear the the ones I keep to myself.”
Perfect, Patsy! I’m planning to borrow, and will attribute it to you! Who will argue with me then?
I went to the plane crash site by myself on a simular light rainy late afternoon. No one else was there. It was very eery. I almost expected the plane to come down through the tall forest canopy.
Mason City came up in my research today. Saw the photos where the plane memorials are.
Yeah. When I was there a year and a half ago there were still flowers left at the memorial.
Her song “Crazy” is timeless. She owned that song.
I saw a documentary about Don Mcclean and “American pie”.
He described how listening to Buddy Holly inspired him to write music, and how devastated he was when Holly, the Big Bopper, and Richie Valens were killed.
“American Pie” was about that day, “The day the music died”.
There was a segment that visited that crash site.
An excellent documentary. Very bittersweet.
Patsy Cline was a great performer.
I didn’t realize it was her birthday. Mrs. M and I listen to her quite frequently.
