A rapidly blinking Rachel Maddow who looked like she was holding back tears due to her beloved Georgia RICO case against President Trump and others looking like it will be dumped, tossed out a DESPERATE Hail Mary that she hopes could save the case from the CORRUPTION of Fani Willis and her boy toy. Maddow pleaded for Fani Willis to "take a leave of absence" as if that would somehow make all the bad things like perjury go away and save the case from being ditched due to prosecutorial CORRUPTION. "Leave of absence?" So instead of Willis being charged with perjury, just invoking a "leave of absence" implies She is still a D.A. in good standing and, oh yeah, her case will still go on despite having been CORRUPTED by her corruption.
We shall see what happens on Fani Willis Day in Georgia on February 15.

There’s a fair chance Willis will get leave.....just not how maddow suggests.
In contrast, if a White conservative man had been accused of what this woman has, he’d already have been at the very least put on unpaid leave of absence and possibly even detained in some way......you think Maddow would be so concerned if that were the case.....not bloody likely.
Yep, still getting paid huge bucks to tell massive lies to a national audience.
Willis' entire office is tainted at this point. There's no getting past that.

Perhaps she’ll have a Valentines Day hangover or something.
Another option to be explored by Willis is to say she did not, in fact, develop a personal relationship with Wade until 2022 as the affidavit affirmed. In 2019, they merely engaged in casual, animal like sex with no emotional attachment, as is their cultural prerogative.
In this way, there was no lying involved and she can continue with her witch hunt, er prosecution of the former president.

She saw the case as a way to funnel taxpayer funds to her lover, who would then spend the money on her. No case, no outside lawyer is needed. No outside lawyer needed, no way to funnel money to her lover. It is straight up corruption. Even if this was not the motive, or not the primary motive, appearance of corruption is there and it taints the prosecution.
Problem for the Madow hypothesis is there are other charges of corruption percolating in the system. Misappropriation of funds etc. How will that play out? I also believe Fani is to arrogant to take Madow’s advice
