DC RINOs Attempt to Sabotage President Trump’s Re-Election With Retirements, Insurrection Legislation – President Trump Must Work On Counter-Strategy Before It’s Too Late
The Gateway Pundit ^ | March 28, 2024 | Paul Ingrassia

The Uniparty is quietly scheming (again) to rig the system and prevent President Trump from ever becoming President. This scheme involves a two-part strategy: using a combination of strategically planned retirements of Republican House members, coupled with the passage of carefully tailored legislation to remove President Trump from the ballot on bogus Insurrection grounds that would likely pass muster with moderate justices on the Supreme Court, like John Roberts and Amy Coney Barrett, who prefer to avoid deciding on “controversial” legal questions and risk being seen in a bad light by their liberal peers.

“They’d have to convict him of ‘insurrection’ first.”

“A DC court guarantees a conviction on any charge.”

The only proper venue for a trial of the then-sitting president is the Senate upon referral by the House of Representatives. And that is exactly what his last impeachment charge was. And he was acquitted.

Further, even IF the president could have been tried in court for this alleged crime, trying him a second time would NOW violate the double-jeopardy clause of the fifth amendment: “nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy...”

I agree with everything you said, however, the Democrats appear to be able to erase the rule-of-law at will.

I hear you with regards to the Senate. On the other hand, it seems pretty certain to me that the Uniparty has something in mind. The sudden retirements of Buck and Gallagher, and the insistence of Gallagher on leaving office only after the deadline to refill his seat has passed leads me to believe they have something in mind. My guess/fear is that a Democrat controlled House will simply refuse to convene for the certification of the election, or do something equally outrageous. Whether it’s legal or not won’t matter to them. This would provoke widespread demonstrations, which the Biden regime would use as a pretext to declare martial law. A Democrat controlled House is capable of engaging in all kinds of mischief.
