I’m not very good at imagining what goes on in the minds of crooks. But I can process what I see.
If I was the Deep State and could compromise anybody I wanted I would wait until somebody had the trust of the people and then I would threaten them into betraying their supporters. And then I would threaten one of them to go out and rabble-rouse saying that the others had deliberately betrayed everybody so R’s are just as bad as D’s. There’s no difference.
That would leave the R’s in tatters, torn and fighting each other rather than the D’s, and make enough stink to keep a lot of people away.
We don’t know what the Deep State has on Marjorie Taylor Greene. She’s been such a good fighter that she would be the ideal person for the Deep State to compromise and use against us.
Same with Jordan.
If the Deep State can compromise anybody - by threatening their family, for instance - then Jim Jordan and Rand Paul are not immune. And they would be the very people I would expect the Deep State to hit, because their seeming betrayal would hurt the worst.
We have to be smarter than these murderous jerk-wads.
RandFan has been making points this afternoon about the fact Rand failed to vote against the Ukraine aid bill. Rand said he would. Why didn't he?
I don’t think Jordan can be bought or threatened.
I thought about this when John Roberts changed his ruling on Obamacare.
I thought, what if I were Justice Roberts, and that they “had” something on me? The rumor was that there was something funny about the adoption of his children, which could lead to criminal charges, and certainly bad publicity.
I decided that I would quietly move money out of my accounts in this country, convert as much as possible to cash, and quickly go on vacation to a civilized country (Montenegro, Andorra, Ecuador?) that does not have an extradition treaty with the U.S.
Once there, I would extend the vacation indefinitely, possibly releasing factual data and my version of it before the bad guys released theirs. If this means resigning the seat, so be it.
Alternatively, I would consider sending my wife and children over with as much cash and financial assets as possible and stick around and take the slings and arrows, and possibly jail time.

I think there might be misunderstanding of all the tools the Deep State has at their disposal.
We do know that the CIA used “The Hammer” to spy on Supreme Court justices including Chief Justice Roberts. Dennis Montgomery, who wrote the software for that supercomputer, says that John Brennan and james Clapper commissioned him to do it so that they could get bribery material for those spied on.

Thankfully, Jordan did NOT vote for the warrantless FISA renewal.
He did vote for the aid to Ukraine without US border provisions.
Has he said why he did that?
Those FBI files way back in the Clinton administration were folders with raw information found near the copying machine. Nowadays, there is no paper needed to be physically moved and photocopied. It is so much easier to just locate dirt digitally.

Hold on though. I was corrected about the FISA vote. He did NOT vote for the warrantless FISA. I’m so glad to hear that, and so glad I was corrected. So please don’t let what I said mislead you.

He probably has an explanation for it. I’m not trying to accuse anybody of anything, but I am asking the serious question of what would stop the Deep State from forcing even a very principled and upright man or woman to vote in a bad way.
We’ve seen the depths to which the Deep State will go to try to get rid of Trump. I don’t think we can rule anything out at this point, especially knowing some of the capabilities the Deep State has carved out for themselves. They wouldn’t do that if they didn’t mean to use those capabilities.
