My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guides we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Attraction
The meadow and the mountain with desire
...Gazed on each other, till a fierce unrest
...Surged 'neath the meadow's seemingly calm breast,
And all the mountain's fissures ran with fire.
A mighty river rolled between them there.
...What could the mountain do but gaze and burn?
...What could the meadow do but look and yearn,
And gem its bosom to conceal despair?
Their seething passion agitated space,
...Till lo! the lands a sudden earthquake shook,
...The river fled: the meadow leaped, and took
The leaning mountain in a close embrace.

The Rainbow And Real Fun
The weave of romance, friendship and love
Always alive, moving with the two
Their hopes and sharing
The strength and warmth
Each can give Each can be free
And then the play unfolds
When each can
Live for the other
Nurturing and inspiring
Only the problems unforgiven
Could end . . .
The rainbows and real fun
The times outdoor and flush
With each other and breezes
The light fills both lives
A beach is the edge of their one heart
The sky the cover of the naked
Excitement and delight
In giving
Giving
Giving
If it isn't giving
It isn't living

Cheers! I thought Id talk today about, a FRiend Ive come to know,
Im sure you know which one I mean, he often steals the show.
He will be celebrating soon, we know, a rite that we regard,
As holy in the sight of God, even in ones back yard.
Im talking about marriage, and one particular Guy,
He would have done this long ago, if he were not so shy.
It is a sort of gem he found, specifically, a pearl,
He really isnt royally, but hell become an Earl.
Yes, hes walking well above the ground, for Laura has consented,
And if he screws things up this time, hell be the late lamented.
But I have confidence in him, hes flown this high before,
Of course this is because of love, and that was playing war.
Hell be much calmer soon, I think, and be his own sweet self,
(When she reflects upon her name, she will become an elf.)
And magic will be theirs, Im sure, and hope it lasts real long,
For we all need a Guy like him, to cheer us with a song.

So wedding bells
will ring for the Guy
and Laura Earl will
be his bride
A Freeper wedding is the best
there won't be six thousand guests!!
Congrats to you and Laura, too!
Happy days I wish for you.
May you walk in sunshine all the way
and remember forgiveness is always best each day.

My contribution for the start of the tenth thread.
A Woman in Love
Sonnets From the Portuguese
Elizabeth Barrett Browning
XLIII
How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of Being and ideal Grace.
I love thee to the level of everyday's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for Right;
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints,--I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!--and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

He Tells Of The Perfect Beauty
William Butler Yeats
O cloud-pale eyelids, dream-dimmed eyes,
The poets labouring all their days
To build a perfect beauty in rhyme
Are overthrown by a woman's gaze
And by the unlabouring brood of the skies:
And therefore my heart will bow, when dew
Is dropping sleep, until God burn time,
Before the unlabouring stars and you.

Early MASH was wonderful. They should have never added the soapboxes. When I was in college, the show was in its syndication heyday, and I could watch it about 5 times a day. At one time I knew almost every line of every episode.
