Friend who works in newsroom at 400 North Capitol Street in DC just called.
There is now a huge, handwritten sign printed on teleype roll paper stretched across newsroom ceiling.
It reads:
"What's The Typeface, Kenneth?"

CBS gave a copy of the forged memos to the White House and the White House graciously made copies and distributed them to the rest of the media knowing they would run with them.
WH response will be, "We made copies of the memos CBS gave us because we would never expect CBS to use forged documents in their reporting."

I believe that's the title of an old REM song, if I recall correctly.

When Rather was assaulted in a subway bathroom a number of years ago, apparently the nutty guy kept asking him, "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" as he was beating him in the head.

This is sort of like reporter and her photog who made a "home movie." Edit booth fed hot to master control. Master ran a tape while the fun couple was editing.
In morning, boss fired them for two reasons:
#1 Using station equipment to make a pornographic video tape.
#2 Using station equipment to make such a poor quality pornographic videotape!!!
This is such a bad forgery, someone at net must have known....

If I remember right, when we used a typewriter, we used to put two spaces after a period. In typesetting and on the computer, only one space is used. It appears to me that there is only one space in the doc that I saw.
