My neighbor's dog brought home a human skull, what

Posted on 09/27/2004 12:19:18 PM PDT by jilley

should I do? We live out in the country and the dog brought it home a few weeks ago. She says she wants to keep it for decoration and it is now stuck on her fence post. When I take her the paper every day, it creeps me out. Her dog is always leaving deer horns in my yard also, so it must be out there killing deer and breaking their horns off.

Agreed. That only opens up more questions. How big is this skull? Monkey skulls are about the size of a fist. If she'd though it was human, she should have mentioned that it was a child. If it's a skull from a great ape, well, that's an even bigger puzzle than a human skull.

IT IS ALL ALRIGHT NOW. THANKS TO ALL THE REAL NICE PEOPLE. I CALLED MY NEIGHBOR AND TALKED TO HER AND IT TURNS OUT THAT THE SKULL IS JUST A MONKEY SKULL THAT JUST LOOKS HUMAN. I FEEL SO RELIEIVED.

Monkey skulls do not look like human skulls, nor are they nearly the same size. Also, just where is a dog going to locate an indigenous source for giant monkey skulls in the US???

Every year she has a cow slaughtered and she gives me a freezer full of meat.

LOL, stop! You're only making it worse for yourself!

Where did the dog find a monkey skull? And how does she know it's a monkey skull? That sounds even more bizaree. But then, I guess I'm just not a nice person for not believing her story.

You don't have to be so mean. I have known her for 25 years and she is a wonderful person. I find it hard to just call the police on her, so I am in a moral fix.

For some reason, you suspect your wonderful neighbor has done something wrong?
Why is that?
You think the head might just belong to her long, lost hubby?
Don't ya!

I know! I know!! The monkey escaped from a travelling circus and got lost in the country near Jilley's neighbor's home. Since there weren't any bananas growing in the wild, the monkey died, and the dog found the skull and brought it home. Yeah, that's the ticket!

My buddy Sholo the Nubian has a skull hanging from his broadsword; I asked him on Sunday what it was made of, and he said it was a resin compound or something. (He tried medical-supply skulls for a season or two, but they chipped.)

BTW, Sholo there is the most conservative person at my Faire besides me. (That's not me in the pic - she's a patron, and I recognize her, but haven't met her that I know of.)

Tell the dog she can't have it, and to stick with chew bones and Frisbees.

More worries about the missing husband.

Call a coroner or medical officer.

This bone find might solve an old murder.

It helps if they are 100% cotton and if the "trap door" in the back is closed.
