Giles teacher caught on video, police say

A Giles County teacher was caught on video inappropriately touching a student during a class this week, Narrows Police Chief Tommy Gautier confirmed Friday.
Homer Lee White, 54, a county teacher for three decades, was charged Wednesday with six counts of aggravated sexual assault against an 11-year-old male student. White is the music instructor at Narrows Elementary/Middle School and band director at Narrows High School.
Gautier said that after parents complained that their son had been molested multiple times during school hours, police worked out a plan with them to set up a video camera in the room where band class was held. The camera was set up last Sunday.
Though the video did catch White, it is the boy's statements during an interview with police and social services officials that is the key evidence, Gautier said.
Bond was set at $25,000 for White on Friday, but by mid-afternoon he remained in the New River Valley Regional Jail in Dublin.
They need to start putting these creeps in a place like Guantanamo Bay -- in cages, without access to the ACLU.
Then why on earth did they need to send him back in there knowing that the teacher was going to molest him again?
And what the liberals want to know is, was the child taught to tolerate everyone's sexual orientation.
When I was in school there was always rumors, gossip, tales, etc. of the band and/or music teacher getty frisky with students. What is it with these guys? Yech.
I seem to recall that the rumors would always swirl around the football coach.
The teachers all know and the administration usually knows too.
Sorry the boy was molested. Happy the teacher has been stopped. May the boy and his family overcome the ordeal and may the teacher receive his due justice . . . swiftly.
A few months back, I spent a few weeks in Narrows and Pearisburg. This was my first visit after a 35 year absence. A truly beautiful stretch of the New River Valley, even taking the Celenese Plant, the camping ground, and vacant downtown stores into account. Wish I could go back for a longer visit some time soon.
It's usually the music teachers, counselors, swim and wrestling coaches.
Or just put them into general population in prison.
Things might just "work out" if you do this.

That is exactly what I was thinking. Another thing I'm thinking is why the hell did the parents sent the kid back to school after he had been molested the first time?!?
That was going to be my question.
Then there's the issue of allowing the cops to use him as bait.....

You are correct about that.
Everyone is guilty before proven inoccent right? I am sure the paper has all of the facts straight. Hmmmm if they have video why is not the prime piece of evidence....maybe the video is non-conclusive....Ever heard of students having it out for a teacher....at least this kid did not come in with a gun.....but then again - that would be the teachers fault as well.
