Google Map Mystery (Satellite imaging catches a UFO over Magnolia Gardens, Fla.)
unknowncountry.com ^ | 18May2005

< snip >....Satellite map of Magnolia Park, Florida shows a clear view of an unusual object floating above 39th Street in the town.

The shadow on the object is similar to the shadows on the ground, meaning that it is in the atmosphere relatively close to the surface, probably no higher than 20,000 feet.

There are no towers or unusual objects in the area that could account for the formation, which appears to be in rapid vibrational movement. Because of the unusual motion visible on its surface, it is not likely that this is a balloon.

Without knowing its distance from the ground, it is impossible to determine the size of the object, but it would seem to be quite large, even huge.

Calls to individuals living in the area and a search of news sources for 2005 revealed no reports of UFOs over Palm Beach or Magnolia Park this year. The last National UFO Reporting Center report for Palm Beach was in 1999.

This is a confirmed unknown object in the air above a populated area in the United States, recorded sometime in 2005.

Why not use magnetic fields to get the job done?

I have read two of his books, interesting to say the least. But the photo posted is from digital globe earthsat, not associated with WS in any way.

Took a few moments to find the image they were talking about - thankfully google helped me find the zip code.

Image hosted by TinyPic.com

Notice the trees on the right hand side of the image. The shadow of the trees is heading northwest, whereas the object has the light coming from the southwest.

It is an artifact added to the photo either as part of the processing, to cover up something else (take a glance at Washington DC on maps.google.com, especially federal buildings), or just put there to entertain us. It can not be an object that was originally part of the image because of the reflective highlights on the object vs the shadows from the trees.

For those who wish to view the image themselves, the zip code is 33407 - simply type that in at maps.google.com and you can see the same images.

I took a look at the shadows of the buildings, too close to call.

I am guessing the satellite is in orbit in the neighborhood of 300 miles above the surface of the Earth, the object in question is said to be at an altitude of approximately 20,000 feet. Assume that the properties are 100ft x 100ft per lot, the object appears to be the size of three of those lots, or 100 yards in diameter.

Of course it also can be one of the new M&M's silver candies that someone placed in front of the camera lens 300 miles high?

So which do you think it is?

It is an artifact added to the photo either as part of the processing, to cover up something else (take a glance at Washington DC on maps.google.com, especially federal buildings), or just put there to entertain us. Maybe it is one of the spaceships from the planet the Scientologists say they come from. B-P How close are they to St. Petersburg?

Oops, I forget, their spaceship resembles a plane where the DC-8's design was based on. Personally, I think Douglas' DC-8 was a pirated version of a Boeing 707, but what do I know? B-) B-P

Hmmm, must be working the longwave frequencies then. B-) Come to think of it, maybe instead of the Scientologists, it could be an emissary from Louie Farrikan's "mother ship." B-D

I miss "Rita X" from the early Rush years. I wonder what happened to her.

"There's no such thing as alien life. . . ."

You wouldn't be saying that if you lived here
in Arizona.

I dunno she was a hoot. I also miss listening to "Charlie Liberal" and "Dr. Democrat" who used to call Art Bell all the time. Back in the mid to late 1990's, they were a hoot to listen to, provided a lot of laughs. Oh yes, we can't forget "J.C." either, he really rambled on homosexuals and accused Art of defending them. I dislike the homosexual lifestyle and politics and I am a staunch opponent of their agenda but geez, "J.C." was one of the ones who would most likely stuff 'em into railroad cars and drown them into the Ohio River. B-P "J.C." was way out there but he sounded so much like H. Ross Perot, he was a laugh to listen to as well.

But think of the DX they can work on 1 watt on 1/4 HZ per hour!

And all on a quarter wave antenna too. B-) I think Marconi did believe in alien life and tried to set up various radio receivers to see if there are any aliens out there "talking." Think of it as SETI, 1890's style." B-) Also at that time, one thing I did find fascinating that Dr. Chandra Bose in India, noted electronics engineer, was working on microwaves at that time and some say he got up as high as 50,000 Mc, even higher at that time.
