You can tell a lot by what a person reads

A Guide to U.S. Newspapers

1. The Wall Street Journal is read by the people who run the country.

2. The New York Times is read by people who think they run the country.

3. The Washington Post is read by people who think they should run the country.

4. USA Today is read by people who think they ought to run the country but don't really understand the Washington Post. They do, however like the smog statistics shown in pie charts.

5. The Los Angeles Times is read by people who wouldn't mind running the country, if they could spare the time, and if they didn't have to leave L.A. to do it.

6. The Boston Globe is read by people whose parents used to run the country.

7. The New York Daily News is read by people who aren't too sure who's running the country, and don't really care as long as they can get a seat on the train.

8. The New York Post is read by people who don't care who is running the country either, as long as they do something really scandalous, preferably while intoxicated.

9. The San Francisco Chronicle is read by people who aren't sure there is a country, or that anyone is running it; but whoever it is, they oppose all that they stand for. There are occasional exceptions if the leaders are handicapped minority, feministic atheist dwarfs, who also happen to be illegal aliens from ANY country or galaxy as long as they are democrats.

10. The Miami Herald is read by people who are running another country, but need the baseball scores.

The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Boston Globe and the Los Angeles Times are bought by people who don't mind contributing to the DNC...(which is what they are doing when they buy those papers).

Hillarious. I particularly love the San Francisco Chronicle bit.

Gotta disagree with the NY Post description, the NYP is the only bastion of rational thought left in the cesspool of liberal NY media.

This is the best one.

Good one!

I read the Asbury Park Press, which is nothing to brag about but it's fun.

I'll pick up The Onion once in a while for fun. They have them for free at the exits of some grocery stores, restaurants and bars. You need a healthy sense of humor though to find some of the stuff in there funny.

FreeRepublic is read by people who want to know what the freak show that reads the other sources are doing.

Yep. It was a rhetorical question.

I first heard about Free Republic in the book "Hillary's War." That's when I first checked it out (around April or May of this year).

I only started posting when the media tried to blame the hurricane response screw-ups on President Bush.

That might be a great idea for a new thread - "When did you first read and/or post and what caused you to start?"

However, it's probably been done already.

I found FR through a link on the Drudgereport. I heard about the Drudgereport from Rush. It's one of the reasons I subscribed to the internet.
