Time for a new FreeRepublic folding@home thread.

Our FreeRepublic team of 250+ members comprised primarily of Free Republic members in good standing have banded together to donate their excess CPU cycles to a worthy cause. Via distributed computing, millions of computers around the world, contribute directly to scientific research, in the quest for a greater understanding of diseases such as Alzheimer's, Cancer, and Mad Cow (BSE).

Currently, the team is in 188th place (with 940 CPUs - 15,725 completed Work Units and 2,330,000 points)

This is an entirely voluntary program, and if you want to learn more, please see the links posted below (or read one of the previous 8 folding threads)

Just noticed, but I like it! I don't mind being blue if the DU's are pretty in pink.

They were red, but they're fading. Pink suits them well.

In one month, (and a short one, at that), we've scored more points, than the previous 3 months combined.

In 3 days, we've logged more points, than the entire month of december.

In 6 hours, we've exceeded the total points for the entire month of November.

The goal for March... a 2 million point month. Not impossible, as we're on track for a 1.75 million point month already, we just need to keep ahead of the trend line. That would put us up around #125 or so.... and about a year ahead of the DU team... :)

A quick check, even team #52 has us on their threat list... and all but about 3 teams, between #52 and where we are now...

I wish they had a little more fighting spirit, but they seem to be typical lefties - all bark, no bite. They need somebody else to carry the folding load.

I'm a little behind schedule because someone for some reason shut down InCrease on Friday, so I lost the whole weekend. My 400-pointer should wrap up tomorrow now, and I have a 150-pointer that will be done very early tomorrow morning.

The first thousand points took forever, now I can easily see myself with 10,000!
