Cruise: I will eat placenta
The Evening Standard ^ | April 18, 2006 | Staff

Hollywood actor Tom Cruise is planning to eat his new baby's placenta, it emerged today.

It is the latest in a series of unusual revelations by the 43-year-old Mission Impossible star about the child he is expecting with fiancee Katie Holmes.

He told GQ magazine: "I'm gonna eat the placenta. I thought that would be good. Very nutritious. I'm gonna eat the cord and the placenta right there."

Cruise has also claimed he knew actress Holmes, 27, was pregnant, even before she told him.

A follower of Scientology, he has defended the religion's belief that women should give birth in silence.

"It's really about respecting the woman. It's not about her not screaming," he has told GQ.

Cruise, who also believes he can cure drug addicts, plans to marry Holmes in the summer. He said earlier this month that their baby was due "any day now".

"we've all heard about burying the placenta under a newly planted tree"

Which might explain why the trees in Georgia take on female characteristics (Takes forever to leave the drive-thru lane at the tree bank, asks its neighbor trees if the new leaves make them look fat, etc.)

In Texas, we put in beer and beans in when we plant a new tree. That is why on most Sundays the front yard oak is sitting inside watching football.

Progesterone in large doses will cause sterility in men (Chemical castration) - Go ahead Tom, eat it... we don't need you to reproduce anymore...

This is not that outrgeous. Some cultures do it. But I've seen shows where women literally have parties, fry up their placentas and give them to the partygoers.

Maybe he's part cow. They actually do that too. Of course in their case its all about getting rid of something that might attract predators.

***When I speak to the man that has experienced childbirth personally, then I will listen to him tell me that I have to be silent during birth.
Until then, no man will tell me how to behave when I am having a baby.
What a crock!***

Really! Having had three children of my own, I have to tell you that I did NOT scream...but only because I was afraid that if I started I wouldn't be able to stop. I admire the women who CAN scream. They're braver than I am.

But, hey, don't make it any more difficult for the MAN who fathered the baby.

http://www.marksverylarge.com/people/tandb7308.html

Shary Flenniken ran across this way back in the 70's.

I bet lots of people who live in Fuller Domes and eat organic granola are familiar with the practice.

And what do you suppose the effects are, when you eat a pound of hormone-soaked flesh? Will his voice change? Will he be able to grow a beard?

Actually, the only glare should come from the knees down as I wear dress socks when I'm nekkid so that's the only part that doesn't get sun. Otherwise, no tan lines on this 40-something-year-old white guy, baby!
