Avon Calling...Julia Roberts? Are you ready to kiss and make up?

Posted on 06/06/2006 8:11:45 AM PDT by ItMatters2Me

"Republican in the dictionary comes just after ‘reptile’ and just before ‘repugnant,’" actress Julia Roberts insightfully observed to the delight of the Radio City Music Hall crowd at the September 14 (2000) DNC fundraisier for Gore-Lieberman. That was just one of several liberal pro-Gore and anti-conservative pronouncements made by actors and actresses."

Attention Repugnant Republican Reptilian's of the fairer sex: Apparently Avon agrees with Julia as she is in current negotiations to be their spokesperson for the near future. Are you Red State Ladies (Lizards?) willing to take this Pretty Woman's beauty tips, as encouraged by her bosses at Avon? Perhaps this is her/their proactive way of making you less repugnant and maybe even passably presentable. Whew! Good Luck with that! No doubt they believe they have their work cut out for them. Maybe some of you would like to express your gratitude to Avon:

Democrat comes between deluded and demonic.
I never use Avon products so it'll be kind of hard for me to boycott them.

Hey Julia - If I take some Avon Lipstick and put it on a certain body part - will you kiss it?

I don't know why actors and actresses - who make a living reading other people's work and pretending to be someone/something they aren't - think we have the slighest interest in their unscripted rants. You'd think they would have learned after their big "hate Bush" campaign in 2004. And Julie Roberts has big flat feet like a duck. So there. ;)

But they don't KNOW you don't use them. Call yourself Mildred and drop them a line! ;^)

She needs a lot of Avon lipstick to cover those lips of hers.

Are you calling me Mildred or Mild Red?!?

LOL!

I guess can call and bitch.
What the heck.
It'll give me a chance to give my opinion of their chintzy so-called "makeup", if nothing else.

She look exactly like her brother Eric, in drag.
I have always found that disturbing, in a Freudian sort of way, which is probably why I find Eric repulsive.

Egads. I sell Avon and this is the first I've heard of this. Dammit why couldn't they have stuck with Salma Hayek? She's a LOT prettier, in my humble opinion.

Salma is naturally gorgeous and needs no makeup.

Perhaps Avon is trying to prove that their products can even work miracles on baggers.

Haven't spent a penny on Avon in years and I'll make doubly sure I don't if she's their spokesperson. I also boycott Revlon since they started using Susan Sarandon.

Salma also buys into the notion that Che Guevara was a hero and a great thinker.

The only thing he was good at was firing squads.

Well that's depressing.

I always liked her movies though I'm not into female actresses, as a rule.

Bummer.
