PHILADELPHIA — A criminal defense lawyer was arrested after a sheriff's deputy found him naked with a 14-year-old girl in a courthouse conference room, authorities said Tuesday.
Larry Charles, 49, has been charged with solicitation, attempted statutory sexual assault and related counts, said Lt. Dan Bagnell of the police department's Special Victims Unit.
A sheriff's deputy making his rounds in the Criminal Justice Center on Monday afternoon looked into a lawyers' conference room on the third floor and discovered Charles and the girl, Bagnell said.

"He had asked for sex. But there was no physical contact we're aware of" by the time the deputy arrived on the scene, Bagnell said.
Bagnell said the girl was not a client of Charles, but their exact relationship was not clear.
Charles was awaiting arraignment early Tuesday afternoon and bail was not yet set. A woman who answered the phone at his office said she could not immediately comment.

This line says alot about this man;

He worked with a youth program, most pedophiles find work or activities taht will get them access to young victims.
My guess is that if a check was done you would find he had victims back then too.

I'm surprised they didn't list his full name: Larry Muhammad Osama Hussein Charles. He's a devout follower of the Prophet Muhammad, who married a 9 year old girl. He'll have a strong civil rights defense because he wasn't allowed to follow the teachings of Islam.
But the charges were dropped because the evidence wouldn't stand up in court.
I feel sorry for him. He's obviously quite ill.

(CBS 3) PHILADELPHIA A Philadelphia lawyer was arrested Monday after alleged inappropriate conduct with a young girl inside Philadelphia's Criminal Justice Center.
Sources told CBS 3 a Sheriff's Deputy entered a room on the third floor of the CJC building and found 49-year-old Larry Charles, who was naked, with his 14-year-old goddaughter.
“He had asked for sex. But there was no physical contact we’re aware of” by the time the deputy arrived on the scene, said Lt. Dan Bagnell of the police department’s Special Victims Unit.
The teen’s mother said Charles, a criminal defense attorney, was a family friend and trusted mentor to the young girl.
The mother also told CBS 3 police are trying to determine whether two additional female family members may have been victimized by Charles in the past.
Charles had no comment as he was taken into custody Monday evening.

Either a person is naked or he/she is not. This is not difficult to ascertain when the arresting officer's eyes are open.

A well-known Philadelphia lawyer has been arrested and charged with numerous offenses. Police say he was discovered naked, in a private lounge area of the Criminal Justice Center, with a 14-year-old girl.
Defense attorney Larry Charles has been charged with sexual assault, corrupting the morals of a minor, and several other crimes.
Police say Charles and the girl went into the CJC on Monday. Courts were not in session because of the Martin Luther King holiday, but Charles said the girl wanted to post bail for someone.
After the pair was not seen for a while, and CJC guards could not find them in the area where bail is posted, they began searching and eventually found the pair in a locked third-floor lounge area set aside for lawyers.
The Criminal Justice Center is located at Juniper and Filbert Streets, just yards northeast of City Hall.
Charles' law license was suspended following his no-contest plea in September 1990 to tampering with public records. Prosecutors alleged he and several others filed false wage claims while they worked for a youth program under contract with the city between 1986 and 1988.
