Still looking for the actual docs in my files, because the main one I have doesn’t have the attys listed.
I know it’s BANKRUPTCY CASE NO. LA 96-12510 SB and it was filed by ANS on Jan 25, 1996.
That’s what I’ve really been wondering about and can never find an answer to.
The Avenida del Sol house (where LB and DL are living) was in the name of the corporation, Hot Smoochie Lips, Inc.
What no one has asked HKS publicly, thus we have no public answers for, is how the stock of Hot Smoochie Lips was divvied up between the two corporate officers, Anna and Howie. Was it 80/20 or 99/1 or 60/40 or what?
Then, after answering that, we’d need to know if the corp had any assets other than the house at the time of her passing. Do TrimSpa and other resids go into the Smoochie accounts?
Next, we need to know how the corporate docs were written, as to who inherits what or takes over what if the other officer dies. If so, does HKS own part of the house?
Next, after all that, establishing the content of the corp on Feb 8, 2007, we’d need to know the details of the transaction that took place in Mar 2007, when Keith Skane took over Hot Smoochie Lips Inc.
Did he buy the corporation and its assets or just the name and future revenues? What happened when he transferred authority for the company over to one of his associates (Tolentino), as it is now?
Who paid the back taxes on the property and the back franchise taxes levied on the house and Smoochie corporate?
Does Skane own any portion of the house and if so, how did HKS and LB get the authority to remodel and make improvements to the home?
I could go on, but those are some of the main things I had hoped we’d read about in HKS’s depo, but I guess for jurisdiction on a Houston suit, they don’t matter (yet).
Note one thing - McCabe & Co made a “slight mistake” in something that kind of took me aback.
Under the heading “Facts” and so forth, in the very first sentence, they make the blatant error of saying that Daniel died in October 2006!
When you get into this stuff, the best way to find out anything and everything is to go to the courthouse and do your own search....I’ve done it many times. You need to see the order of events and the POWERS of all the players.
Mr. Stern had telephoned Ms. Arthur in Texas before the CNN interview in an an attempt to dissuade her from making statements to the media about the death of her grandson Daniel Smith (Exhibit A.)
In response to Ms. Arthur's CNN interview, Mr. Stern telephoned Ms.Arthur's niece, Melinda Hudson, in Texas and communicated his reaction and that of Ms. Marshall to the CNN interview (Exhibit C).
Mr. Stern apparently did not remember making such telephone calls to Texas at the time he signed the affidavit attached to his motion and when he sat for his deposition.

LKL 26th Sep '06 - STERN: That's something that, you know, Anna's going to have to make a decision on. She doesn't really get along with most of her family, and really, Daniel was the only person that she really considers family.
But, you know, since -- since Daniel's passing, we've been in contact with her mom and also a cousin. And, you know, you never know. You never know if this tragedy will bring people together. But that's something that, you know, we're not sure of at this point.

Will this deposition prove something? Who knows. I'm just confused as to how he can claim 6% of the Marshall fortune when by his own words, he hasn't worked on the cases.
Strange, here's a Gibson at Anna's bedside the day Danny died and a Gibson by Anna's side the day she died.
I can see Thompson's motive to publish it in regards to the Horizons...but that wouldn't be necessary. I think it was a warning to the whole Gibson family and given to the press by Howard. When did he get back to the Horizons after the robbery?
Another thing...I remember the little tour after the robbery...Howard sat on the bed and opened an album and on the right hand page, there was what I'm almost certain...the pictures of Gibson in bed with Anna.
I haven’t been following along, but I have been wondering — is there any justice yet? I am still waiting for HK$ to get what’s coming to him. Be sure to ping us all if it ever happens — even if it is just a small dose of justice.

I am with you, hoping HKS and KE get what is coming to them. The media should dog HKS’s every step re obstruction of justice, contradictions, perjury, and other things pointed out on this thread.
And we still don't know what's going on behind the scenes with KE.
Howard needs an absolute pass on Daniel's death...
If he doesn't get that, there's a good possibility that Anna's death could be reopened. Even Perper said that.

I hope the media will start reporting on the inquest. Perhaps emailing reminds to them of the story and of KE and other tidbits of interest. Perhaps a California media outlet will pursue Brown’s investigation. Two people are mysteriously dead and there are red flags all over. LB must be having nightmares, wondering if he is considered the weak link.
Naw...I think Larry is wondering how he wound up with 18 years of obligations and “loss of freedom” instead of money in the bank.
I have been lurking here off and on, waiting for news about Rita Cosby abd the case against Dr. E.
I’ve always thought that 6% sounded like a divided share from someone else’s portion, like a rounded-down “1/4th” of someone’s true 25% fee - or maybe “1/5th” of a more normal 30% fee.
Don’t know if it’s Boesch or Rale or who, but that’s my guess - that he had a farmout agreement simply by virtue of the fact that he was Anna’s “handler” and baby-sitter.
