Whats Your Favorite (Or Least Favorite) New TV Show Of This Season? (Vanity)

Posted on 10/23/2007 4:59:20 PM PDT by proudofthesouth

With all the bad news coming out of California I thought a frivolous topic might be in order.

What is your favorite or least favorite of the new television season?

I have two shows that I look forward to each week:

The Big Bang Theory (Mondays on CBS) and Samantha Who with Christina Applegate (Mondays on ABC)

I have an extremely dry sense of humor and both of these shows just crack me up (especially Big Bang Theory).

Re Law & Order - flipped on show last night, listened to two minutes and then added it to my list of Will Not Watch any more. Doctor was on trial for interrogation techniques at GITMO. Very, very left wing

I mentioned the same on a post above. There are not many shows I watch, and I turned last nite's episode off also. Sometimes I can overlook the political preaching on a show, but that one was particularly bad.

That’s what that is “Ghost Whisperer. Law and Order sucked last night. Only watched a mere fraction. I like the old reruns.

I missed the first Pushing Daisies nnd really hated the second one, which was the first one I saw but the third one, which was the second one I saw, I kind of liked.

I have all of Life on my DVR but haven’t had time to watch it yet. When i watched The Bionic Woman I saw a commercial for Life and I thought, Dang! That’s the one I should have DVRed, but luckily USA had the first episode the next week so I just have to find time to watch.

I missed it this week, can’t comment on where the show is going but I like the chemistry. Probably why I like Chuck also.

"I wonder.."

The Office is the only series I watch (via DVR of course) unless you count Mythbusters and Suvivorman.

I only watch Chuck because it comes on before Heroes. If it was a stand-alone, I probably wouldn’t take the time for it. It’s not that I don’t enjoy it, it just doesn’t have that “je ne sais quoi” for me.

They all grow on you. The phone call brought a tear to my eye. I like each character for different reasons. Who would have thought a conservative lady like me would enjoy watching a heavily tattooed Goth chick like Abby??? They are all fun.

lol Abby is a trip. Very well written character. Paulie played the information officer in a short lived series on SciFi called "Special Unit 2". She did a great job on that and she was blond!!!

The very best NCIS was the one with Chrales Durning where he won the MOH on Iwo but thought he had killed one of his buddies. That was good tv.

That was really tough to watch. I thought the one where Ducky was kidnapped and held in the back room of a funeral home was riveting. Ahhhh, but really, they have all been good!

PS-I can’t imagine Abby as a blond!

The Unit...If that’s the show I’m thinking of, we quit watching it because of the most offensive single episode we’d ever seen . It involved a WWII jeep rediscovered in storage, some love letters found secreted in the jeep , and a last-second “witty, hilarious” ending in which the widow learned publicly (on the radio airwaves IIRC) that the love letters written by her deceased husband had not been written for her... Just a vile episode. :-( Pretty sure that was The Unit, and it was the last episode of that program we watched.
