If that’s her mug shot, she hardly looks as intoxicated as 9 times over the legal limit. I’d expect her to look drunk at least.

The only thing your boss deserved was a good a$$-kicking for endangering everyone one sharing the highway with this irresponsible creep. He belongs in the state pen.

I knew a gal in central Calif. that got several DUIs even after she lost her license that the judge sold her car.

Well, just thank gosh she wasn’t driving one of those deadly and evil SUV’s and is not a teacher with a teenage lover in the back with no pants!

That picture is from an earlier arrest.
From TSG site: Comer is pictured below in a 2006 mug shot snapped after a prior drunk driving arrest. In that case, her BAC was recorded in the relatively minor .3 range.

I guarantee that this woman is a longterm alcoholic. No one can continue to live with a BAC level that high, absent a long drinking habit at a high level. That means a fifth of hard liquor every day, without exception.
This woman should be jailed, dried out, and then forbidden to drive any car for at least ten years, with longterm, PROVEN, sobriety as a precondition.

I would think so too. Perhaps there were other substances like cocaine involved that kept her alive.

No, this woman is a hardened alcoholic. Any lawyer who got her off, if that happened, would probably be complicit in the ultimate manslaughter when she drives again. I’ve seen alcoholics beat the rap and ultimately kill someone. I’ve seen it several times as a lawyer. I’ve seen it once as a brother.

A boss that I used to work for had 3 frames certificates from detailing his BAC of .60 or higher.

As long as she has access to public transit after drying out, that's fine with me. She has legs. That's all she needs, and the walking would do her good.

Not with several prior convictions. She is obviously a long term alcoholic and what would put you or me into a coma, just gets her a little sleepy.

Nope. Not even close. One of our local trauma centers got a guy with a BAC of
.812! He is the talk of the trauma centers. If his BAC drops below .4, he goes into violent withdrawal.
However, the BAC on our guy was drawn as part of the ordered labs in the hospital, and it was not a legal blood draw done for the police, if I recall correctly.
There is an important distiction. Hospitals do not give the results of in-house BAC draws and urine tox screens to the police because it would be a HIPPA violation. The police have to have arrested the subject already and brought him/her in to the ER for the legal draw.
Thus, what the news story must mean is that this was the highest BAC recorded from this particular type of blood draw. But it's not the highest ever recorded.

Nope. We've seen pt's with BACs over .500 walking and talking. Not very well, mind you, but walking and talking nonetheless. The official record (from an in-hospital draw) is
.812. Two re-draws confirmed the number. The guy lives at around .500 and goes into violent withdrawals if he drops below .400.
I had a 17 y.o. girl who weight maybe a buck-five walking around with a BAC of .412 and she didn't even weave or slur her words. Cute little thing; too bad she'll be dead before she's thirty.
