These FR problems are driving me crazy! If I had your good sense I would have given up trying to post hours ago. Just about the time I think the problems are straightened out, they start up again.
It's dinner time here too. I'm going to go throw some pork ribs on the grill. Maybe when I come back FR will be running smoothly....I hope.
Catch ya' later. :-)

Good evening, everyone!
Is the calendar wrong today??
It must be FRiday the 13th!!
This day has been crazy.
First FR was down so it was late when I finally posted the thread.
I had to leave at noon for an eye appt.
Yep .... new prescription and I have cataracts in both eyes.
Will need to have them removed later.
When I got home, I tried to answer a few pings
before time for me to run another errand.
No Way! FR was acting weird.
After the errand, it was time to pick up Marissa.
Of course, she needed to work on math and she was hungry..
Then dinner .... after dinner, she begged me to make blueberry muffins.
She and I (and Betty Crocker) made the muffins and they were very good.
While eating dinner (nothing hard), I lost a tooth.
I tried to call the dentist but too late.
I will call again early tomorrow morning.
Now .... for some good news.
Mr Mittens is still eating dry catfood.
Neither hubby or I got scratched last night or this morning.
Hubby decided to ignore the vet ...
The vet said to wrap him in a towel or blanket with just his head showing.
Kitty Mittens hated that; he started fighting as soon as he was strong enough.
Hubby just bent down, grabbed him by his neck and
put the medicine dropper in his mouth.
There may have been a small amount that KM didn't get,
but we are feeling much better about giving him his medications.
Guess that is all the FRiday the 13th stuff for today.
Thank you all for keeping the doors open today.
If I don't get back tonight, I'll see y'all tomorrow. ;^)

Good evening, PoetGal.
Let me see if I can answer an earlier post.
My hubby and his brother raised turkeys and wine grapes. I worked for a computer service bureau.
We have one son.
My niece is not a responsible adult so we have a surrogate grand-daughter. She is 8 years old and has changed how we expected to spend our retirement years. LOL What an understatement!!
Anyway, I hope you will share some of your poetry with us. As you can see, at Amy’s Place, we try to make friends and have a good time.
WE are happy that you are here!

I’m not sure, but John had to reload the database. He worked all night.
Working with computers for so many years, I can tell you, programmers never expect these problems. No matter how many times you test software something still goes wrong.

Oh, Amy, that would Scare me, too, to be Wrapped in a Towel or a Blanket with just my Head Sticking Out. :( I'm Glad your Husband did it a Different Way. It's Wonderful that Mr. Mittens is still Eating his Food; Thank You, Lord!
Jaycee, your #65 is Beautiful, and your Frame Matches it Perfectly; So Pretty! Meg, I Love your #82; it's Super Cute.
Poetgal26, we're So Glad you are Here with us! : )

In the San Joaquin Valley, the wine grapes were mostly Thompson and a nondescript red grape. They are now planting some varietals. Several acres of vineyard are being removed and being replaced by almond orchards.
California is pretty liberal especially in the Bay Area and Los Angeles. I think Orange County is still a conservative area.
The central valley is much more conservative than the coastal regions or the Bay Area.

Whew! Sorry everyone was having probs, but for awhile there I thot I had forgotten how to log on or something! Still slow this am, but much, much better.
Greenhouse is kicking, and kicking my butt! At least it’s been cloudy/drizzling for a couple of days. I’ve been playing catchup. The greenhouse is packed to the gills. I’m waiting for it to explode and rain flowers all over everyhting like a giant pinata. :)
Everthing’s beautiful, as always! Love the opening graphic! NIce big room, plenty of light, lots of places for FRiends!
Glad to hear KM is better! Sorry about your yesterday! ((Hugs))
Y’all have a great one and I check in when I get time.

Michael Cardinal
Look at the birds of the air . . . . Matthew 6:26
Twig by twig a cardinal constructed a bowl-shaped home in the bush outside my office window. Soon she laid an egg and kept it warm until it hatched. I named the little bird Michael. Although he was tiny, he had a huge appetite. His parents worked hard to keep him fed and safe. In a few months, Michael was ready to leave, and I was there to witness the amazing event.
When Michael left, so did mom and dad. The nest remained empty until the next spring. When mama cardinal returned, I was happy to see her but also sad. We had sold our house and I was concerned that the new owners might chop down the bush. But my concern soon turned to amazement. As I dismantled my office, mama cardinal dismantled her nest. By the time we left, so had the cardinal family. Mama cardinal's God-given instincts had told her to move.
This brought to mind another nature lesson. Using birds and lilies as examples, Jesus urged people not to worry. Since God takes care of birds, surely He will take care of His people (Matt. 6:26-30).
When concern for our own well-being leads to anxious thoughts, we can look at the birds and be assured of our value to God and of His care for us.
I sing because I'm happy,
I sing because I'm free,
For His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know He watches me. Martin
