When you compare the word day in Genesis and Exodus 20 with the day used by Peter you demonstrate a Biblical ignorance that unmistakable. Do your research and then comment, read the Scripture and then comment.

I have READ. Now you are just plain calling Peter ignorant given the subject he is giving Heavenly instruction.... Peter says IIPeter 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of,

that by the *word* of God the heavens were of OLD, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water:

Genesis 1:2 says *AND* the earth was (should be became) without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. (DEEP WHAT????)

Back to IIPeter 3:6 Whereby the world that then *WAS*, being overflowed with water, perished: (not talking about Noah's flood as Peter addresses Noah's flood in the previous chapter.)

7 But the heavens and the earth which are *NOW*, (word means what it means) by the same *WORD* are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the *DAY* of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.

8 BUT, beloved, be not IGNORANT of this one thing,

that ONE DAY is with the LORD as a thousand years, and a thousand years as ONE DAY.

NOW either Peter writing about the *DAY* length of time or else the Heavenly Father is pulling a fast one, and the evidence demonstrates that Peter is talking about the length of a *DAY* with the LORD.

Theology 101: Peter is explaining that to the Father time has no meaning. As for genesis one and exodus twenty, the Hebrew word for day is “yowm”. You would be hard pressed to find even one Hebrew scholar, even amongst those who believe in evolution, that would say it means anything other than a 24 hour day.
