Earth's first animal was the ocean-drifting comb jelly, not the simple sponge, according to a new find that has shocked scientists who didn't imagine the earliest critter could be so complex... scientists analyzed massive volumes of genetic data to define the earliest splits at the base of the animal tree of life... The new study surprisingly found that the comb jelly was the first animal to diverge from the base of the tree, not the less complex sponge, which had previously been given the honor... Unlike sponges, comb jellies have connective tissues and a nervous system, and so are more complex. Though squishy and tentacled, they are not, however, true jellyfish as they lack the classic bell-shaped body and characteristic stinging cells. The finding was unexpected because evolutionary biologists had thought that less complex animals split off and evolved separately first... "evolution is not necessarily just a march towards increased complexity," Dunn said.

Yes and when asked what would be the sign of His return, Christ said let NO man deceive you...
Peter is explaining that to the Father time has no meaning. As for genesis one and exodus twenty, the Hebrew word for day is yowm. You would be hard pressed to find even one Hebrew scholar, even amongst those who believe in evolution, that would say it means anything other than a 24 hour day.
Peter is very explicit in what time means, remember what people are WILLINGLY ignorant of... oh now bring on any Hebrew scholar and have them speak what is WRITTEN about time!!!!!
“God is not the guide, you are. The bible is the roadmap, not the recipe. How you get there is up to you.”
God isn’t the guide, he is the Father, the Creator, the Alpha and the Omega. The rest sounds like the cult of self. Good luck
On the contrary, there has been extensive writing on the history of the ideas concerning evolution, from pre-Darwinian theories such as those of Lamarck, through the rejection of natural selection in the late 19th century and the later reconciliation of natural selection with genetics in the 1930s and 40s (the modern synthesis) and on up to the present day.
The opinion that blacks were inferior to whites predates the idea of evolution by quite a long stretch and was prevalent, up until the very past, in many of the parts of America where Darwin was most vehemently rejected. Some racists may have tapped evolutionary biology to justify their bigotry, but that doesn't mean that evolutionary biology is wrong, any more than some bigot finding their justification in a bible passage makes the bible wrong. Just about anything can be twisted to serve the needs of twisted people.
Very neat devolve, smoke will turn my green eyes black!!

It’s different!
Well - if we didn’t do things differently they wouldn’t stand out!!

“Maybe you’ll understand it one day.”
Theres that grace again, NOT. I understand it quite well. Its not a complex message at the base but does take maturity to grasp.
A Christian help others to understand the bible and grow in their relationship to Christ.
A false Christian says thing like the bible needs to be interpreted and you determine your path to heaven.

The truth of our faith becomes a matter of ridicule among the infidels if any Christian, not gifted with the necessary scientific learning, presents as dogma what scientific scrutiny shows to be false.

WHOA! Great quote from one of the greatest.

Robert Paulson is that you??
Saint Thomas Aquinas was perhaps the most influential Christian theologian of all time. His pronouncement on Science should be the byword of any Christian who doesn’t want to be on the wrong side of anther Galileo issue.
