Shock: First Animal on Earth Was Surprisingly Complex
Yahoo! ^ | Thursday, April 10, 2008 | LiveScience

Earth's first animal was the ocean-drifting comb jelly, not the simple sponge, according to a new find that has shocked scientists who didn't imagine the earliest critter could be so complex... scientists analyzed massive volumes of genetic data to define the earliest splits at the base of the animal tree of life... The new study surprisingly found that the comb jelly was the first animal to diverge from the base of the tree, not the less complex sponge, which had previously been given the honor... Unlike sponges, comb jellies have connective tissues and a nervous system, and so are more complex. Though squishy and tentacled, they are not, however, true jellyfish as they lack the classic bell-shaped body and characteristic stinging cells. The finding was unexpected because evolutionary biologists had thought that less complex animals split off and evolved separately first... "evolution is not necessarily just a march towards increased complexity," Dunn said.

Well, ok … I’m still a Bible literalist … believe what you will. My acceptance of Jesus as my Lord and Savior is all I need. My mansion in heaven is assured despite all your negative arguments to the contrary. And the Bible is true from beginning to end, be assured … all will be as God has proclaimed.

Would rather accept Jesus and be wrong (I lose nothing), than refuse him and be wrong (I lose everything).

Well, if Adam and Eve were in the garden, evolution was certainly not taking place outside the garden. After all Adam and Eve already existed., if that is your inference.

+++++

Adam and Eve existed, the plants existed, the animals existed.

Were they all in the Garden, or were there some of them outside at the time, and if so, what were they doing.

It is one of those questions that would be fun to know, nothing else.

No, you've *already* lost everything.

On webpages I use codes from the /SWF/ folder at "D".

Those codes cannot be used on FR thread posts.

MSN plugins often allow .swf up to 4.0 to be used without those codes.

These .swf audios .mp3 or .wav files embedded in the .swf files - they allow audios to be used without adding to the initial bandwidth loading of a webpage and also the audio can be started anywhere on a webpage that you want.

If anyone with a WebTV Plus receiver or an later MSN-TV or MSN-TV2 is viewing this post they may hear "Smoke Gets In Your Eyes" starting to play as they read this.

If this is a correct translation, then it has very interesting implications. It was, just as science says, the Oceans (filled with complex organic chemicals) that brought forth life. God gave the command, but Ocean did the work, kind of like the Army. Maybe the command was a very large lightening bolt, or two, or many into the primordial organic soup.

There is no evolutionist that still maintains the whole primordial soup argument. The mechanisms required for that to be true are simply impossible

I’m not stuck in anything. I believe in the literal interpretation of the Bible. I know that Jesus died for me, and by accepting this (and my personal declaration that Jesus is my Lord and savior); I will spend eternity with Him.

I believe the Bible to be completely true in all respects, but one should not take everything in it literally. There are lots of different styles of writing contained within the Bible and not all of it is intended to be taken literally. The is not reputable Bible scholar that believes in a literal interpretation of the Bible.

God created evolution to give people something to argue about.

“Ignorant of Science and ignorant of the Bible is no way to go through life.”

Did I say humans were first?

but is does bring in those tax payer bucks.

And that is what it's all about. Those who reject Jesus worship money and will say and do anything to get it.

Your myth is no more convincing than any other.

My myth? Not my myth, I got it from the word of God, the Holy Bible. So if anyone is guilty of making up a myth, concerning creation, It is GOD, not me. Might I suggest you go to Him and tell Him you think He is the fabricator of a myth.

And then after you are all done and proven the results you call it a fact, not before. Evolution is not a fact, it isn't even a half decent theory. I tend to doubt that any who claim to believe in this lie of evolution can even trace it's list of theories. Starting with the claim that black humans were less evolved than white humans.

When you compare the word day in Genesis and Exodus 20 with the day used by Peter you demonstrate a Biblical ignorance that unmistakable. Do your research and then comment, read the Scripture and then comment.

Apparently lots, and lots and lots and yet lots of stuff happened in those first few days of creation. Genesis 1:1 and following. ;-)

Yes, and God did it all without breaking into a sweat. Nor has He changed the account of how He did it, not even once in 6,440 years or so.

‘The heresy of literalism as such is a modern”

As opposed to the heresy of selective interpretation? Hogwash

“Like explaining air to fish.”

OR you could be trying to draw people away from the word of God.

I don't think the literalists are hearing *God's* words.

ketsu you are not demonstrating grace which is very strange action for a someone professing to have the way and secret to interpreting the bible.

The bible tells us how to read it, understand it and seek out a closer relationship with God. Anyone professing to know more than the bible is suspect.

What are they ‘hearing’ then?
