Can Obama Carry All 57 States?

We noted here that Barack Obama seems weirdly unable to remember how many states there are. Most recently, he claimed to have campaigned in 57 states. Hence the Obama version of the American flag:

If you're on Facebook there is a new group you can join: These 57 United States Against Barack Obama.

I don't think he'll lose 57 states in November, but, one hopes, he'll lose enough.

Another Democrat's Dan Quayle moment being covered up by the LSM.

Gee, I didn't see Obama's gaffe all over ABC/NBC/CBS/CNN/MSNBC. What if John McCain or George Bush or Dan Quayle said something like this.

Of course, sixty or fifty-nine stars may be more appropriate, since, if you listen to the video, he seems confused about whether Alaska and Hawaii constitute two states or one. If one follows his conversation, there are apparently fifty-eight states, known as the lower forty-eight and one other state, the great and sovereign state of “Alaska and Hawaii”.

As with all liberals facts and details mean nothing. It’s their motives and intant that counts. Let’s face it, Republicans have been, are, and always will be held to different standards than Democrats by the MSM.

Well, there is an Alaskan joke that in February, the 14th largest Alaskan city is Maui because so many residents are vacationing there.

He may have been trying to show continuity with his predecessor in the ‘04 election. ;^)

When I was on Shemya, I jokingly asked the site manager where the golf course was. He said go east to end of air field, turn right and keep going until you get to Maui.

We now have affirmative action for politicians.
I think it started with AlGoreon and has been greatly expanded.

If it were not so sad, it would be hilarious to see Obooboo
in the general campaign.

Obama has a certain charm and formidible intellectual gifts.

I think his education, career choices and experiences have molded him in a way that make him a poor choice for president. I also worry that my grandchildren may pine for the golden days of President Obama, when I see what’s waiting in the wings.

Well, the usual slip of the tongue in this situation would be states vs. states & territories. So add Puerto Rico, the Virgin Islands, Guam, American Samoa, and the District of Columbia. I wouldn't wince if a presidential candidate, focused on the jurisdictions that send delegations to the convention, said 55 and failed to add "and territories."

But how he gets to 57, I dunno. The states of Superdelegatia and Biglabor?

I think it was slip of the tongue, substituting “forty” for “fifty” at every turn, compounded by poor syntax that makes it seem he doesn’t know whether Alaska and Hawaii constitute one state or two. Sorta like “Rhode Island and the Providence Plantations”. Nothing more. Just, if Dan Quayle had ever uttered that sentence we literally would have heard it dozens of times, every time we turned on the radio or TV.

Is Canada a state or a possession, like Puerto Rico? Why doesn’t someone ask Obama? How many electoral votes does Canada have, anyway?

He better carry them, and soon, before Bill Clinton claims victory and their pledged delegates and becomes the nation’s first black first lady.

No wonder he didn’t wear the flag lapel pin with only 50 stars on it.
