Actually the “X-ray specs” are still with us. Al Quaida in Iraq and others spread the rumor that the sunglasses the GIs wore were actually X-ray vision devices that enabled the soldiers to see through the clothing that Iraqi women wore. Apparently it couldn’t see through male clothing, as that was never a propaganda line.

Good Collection from the comic books I used to read.

Remember the old Schaefer Beer comercial?
Schaefer is the one beer to have
When you’re having more than one.
Schaefer’s pleasure doesn’t fade
Even when your thirst is done.
The most rewarding flavor
In this man’s world.
For people who are having fun, fun, fun, fun, ....
Schaefer is the one beer to have
When you’re having more than one.

Boy I remember the Christmas cigarette cartons and the fifth cartons that my family gave out as a tip during the season.
A lost time.

Other than wearing stockings instead of socks, and minus the necklace, this is exactly the same type of outfit I wore in highschool. Brings back memories. Hip-pleated skirts and mohair sweaters.
These ads bring back a lot of memories from my youth. Thanks for sharing.

That’s odd. I never noticed OJ had three legs. Maybe that’s why he got away with some of the stuff he did.

And have since I was 12, almost 48 years ago now.

Oh wow, those are funny.
- Spanking = Spousal Abuse, 20 years in prison.
- 'Making' the wife cook = Grounds for divorce.
- And KILLING a woman?!? Nice they tell you it's illegal.
(Though I can't recall too many dead wives laying around as a kid)
But I don't 'get' the Men buying clothes one?
