I know there's a lot of Freepers who actively follow college fooball. I don't know about you - but I love ALL of the bowl games, especially the early ones.

Yeah yeah, I know. Who cares about the Bell Helicopters Fort Worth Bowl or the GMAC Bowl...right? But you know what? There's a lot of teams that are happy just to be in a bowl game and they don't care where it is.

Boise State at the Humanitarian Bowl? Lamer. Sure it’s at home but come on...

Who cares. My Bucks are out of it (unless Penn St. loses). But they won't let us back in for another decade. We sucked the last two years when we were in the Championship Game.

I never was a college sports guy, and I find myself becomming less and less interested in sports.

That said, it always makes me feel good to hear one of my fav teams doing well. I’ll watch my teams esp if in the final 4 - but I don’t pay much attention otherwise.

The use of steroids turns off a lot of fans.

No way. Their projection is all wet. If USC and Oregon win out, Oregon goes to the Rose Bowl as co-champion of the Pac 10 because USC went last year. Where are they getting Pitt from? Pitt is ranked 21st now.

If Everything holds as it does now (but probably won't), the BCS games would be any combination of the following: Alabama, Texas Tech, Texas, Florida, and Oklahoma fighting it out for the national title with USC playing the one with the most losses as the 5th vs. 6th ranked team in the Sugar Bowl. Penn State would probably end up playing Oregon or Penn State in the Rose Bowl as the co-Champions of their respective conferences.

IMHO Utah would probably play against Boise State if both win out.

So, how do they get Oklahoma ahead of Texas after losing to them, but Texas still in a BCS bowl?

Notre Dame (5-4) in the Gator Bowl?? I think not.

The best Notre Dame will do barring a collapse by USC is 7-5.

If they go to the Gator Bowl, I will never watch another bowl game in my life.

St. Petersburg Bowl

Thanks for the post. Here is a bowl game I have never heard of before. In fact, with the bowls now being named by sponsors, and with so many sponsor changes, there are numerous ones that I have trouble recalling.

I’m with you Steve - we watch every bowl game we can. Not everyone can win the championship or get a BCS Bowl game - but it is a honor for the school to be asked to play in any bowl game. I’m tired of the elitist snobs who think they are due a certain bowl game and all others are puny.

Saw it this morning and stopped reading when I saw that they had projected KSU for a bowl. Are they not paying attention? The only bowl KSU is going this holiday season is the toilet and the candy bowl.

Pitt/FSU in the Orange Bowl? That’d surprise the shiite out of me!

Man, I already have tix and hotel for the Meineke Car Care bowl, and they’re predicting GT and Cincinatti. I hope the match-up ends up better than that.
