THE JOB - URINE TEST

> > (Whoever wrote this one deserves a HUGE pat on the back!)

Like a lot of folks in this state, I have a job. I work, they pay me.

I pay my taxes and the government distributes my taxes as it sees fit.

In order to get that paycheck, I am required to pass a random urine test with which I have no problem.

What I do have a problem with is the distribution of my taxes to people who don't have to pass a urine test.

Shouldn't one have to pass a urine test to get a welfare check because I have to pass one to earn it for them?

Please understand, I have no problem with helping people get back on their feet.

I do, on the other hand, have a problem with helping someone sitting on their rump- --, doing drugs, while I work. . . .

Can you imagine how much money the state would save if people had to pass a urine test to get a public assistance check?

I guess we could title that program, 'Urine or You're Out'.

> Pass this along if you agree or simply delete if you don't.

Hope you all will pass it along, though. Some thing has to change in this country -- and soon!!!!!!! > >

My wife received this on an e-mail from a friend in Arizona. It contains a lot of truth and humor.

It's really simple.

You've got to pass a urine test because if you couldn't pass a urine test it might mean you're taking some kind of recreational drug. That, in turn, might mean that you weren't performing at tippy-top levels on your job. As a result, you might not do your job quite up to spec, or on time. The resulting economic dislocation might cause an interruption in the smooth flow of taxes that are withdrawn from your paycheck to pay the bills of those who don't have to take a urine test.

This is really not that hard to understand.

Last week, here in Texas, Bubba stayed up all night studying for his urine test the next day. He passed, by the way!

Man, I hate random urine, it sprays all over my clothes, shoes, hands, a whole mess!

I agree that everyone on welfare should be forced to take mandatory drug tests. They must also undergo criminal background checks and other forms of invasive searches from which productive citizens are otherwise exempt.

But a urine test is the easiest drug test to fake. A hair sample test would be much more effective.

“I want all those people in govt to pass drug/alcohol/dementia tests too.”

I have to take random drug tests and I get polygraphed at regular intervals, too.

Don’t think they wouldn’t find some way to pass the test by using the “output” of someone else, like their baby, or whatever. They are always one step ahead of the govt. as far as cheating goes.

I think in some states, you have to pass a urine test to receive workmans comp or dissability.

I think if it is good enough for us to be tested then it should be required for all in govt. It should be made into a law.

pot stays in your system for 30 days...but if you drink 9 liters of cranberry juice and take Immodiun AD (to keep it all from exiting prematurely) it will be gone in one day.

If a random piss test is good enough for the lowly Home Depot employee, then we should be requiring random unine testing for the President of the United States, Congress, the Senate, and every damn government employee at every level, all the way down to City Council members in small towns.

Lets forget public school teachers and those that actually perform the testing.

Lets level the playing field, just to make things fair.

If someone has a drug problem that will interfere with their job, it will be evident without a urine test. Not everyone has to operate heavy equipment at work, and if they do they should be tested for other problems that could endanger them or someone else, like alcoholism. And you can’t put crackheads in sensitive government posts. Apart from that, random drug tests are degrading, pointless exercises that hurt businesses, enlarge welfare rolls, and pushes otherwise normal people into the margins of society. Instead of making everyone do it, it should only be done when there is a clear case for it apart from “battling the scourge of drug abuse” and other drug war b.s. I don’t condone taking illegal drugs, but firing people and making them unemployable because of a failed drug test is yet another way to make a societal problem much worse.
