I don't know how powerful a message this really is. He mixes criticism of the fascists for persecuting Catholic Action with praise for the "incomporable Minister," Mussolini, for agreeing to leave the Catholic Church alone in 1931.
But there it is. Have a safe and blessed Christmas, everyone.

How "powerful?" This response must echo perfectly the chatter around Jerusalem 2000 or so years ago. "King of the Jews? This guy who preaches love and forgiveness? I dunno how powerful a message that is..."
There truly is nothing new under the sun.

Popes aren't politicians, but that won't keep the press from trying make them say political things, as the NYT demonstrates in this piece.

Yeah, Fascism. That wont get much play around here. There is no such thing as Fascism. Except when the propaganda comes out. Corporatism/Fascism is to be bowed down to around here.I would have to see a couple of examples of Fascism being "bowed down to" before I buy into that. How many have you found in the week you have been here?

Your posts 9, 10 and 11 look more like wikipedia listings than examples of corporate cronyism gleaned from Free Republic threads.

Fascism IS free-trade. It is synonmous. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Have you checked “The Road to Serfdom” by F.A. von Hayek? Ludwig von Mises is another good source. Both ripped state controlled economies, both facism and communism, with the position that there is little different between the two.
