I went to a Browns-Bengals game in Cleveland in 1990 and the wind chill was 30 below. They sometimes show that 1981 AFC Championship game on the NFL network. It was cold yet it was a sunny day. I remember at the time I was a student at Ohio St and I walked (I didn’t have a car) almost 3 miles to go to church. The morning was a rough walk to church. LOL

Looks like it is once again possible for all Pennsylvania Super Bowl. It would only be fitting though since we produce the best quarterbacks the league has ever seen.

Titan: One that is extraordinarily large and powerful.

one forgotten game is the NFC divisional game in San Francisco when Roger Staubach led the Cowboys to two TD’s in the last two minutes of the game..one reason it is probably forgotten is that the Cowboys got whipped next week in Washington in the NFC title game..but it was quite a comeback..

Good job mainepatsfan!!!

I can tell you I was at that game in ‘87, sitting in the endzone opposite the dawg pound in old Municipal Stadium.

Of course everyone remembers how the game ended, but here’s some other tidbits to consider.......

The game should have never gone into overtime to begin with. We know Mark Mosley won the game with a FG, but in regulation time Mosley missed not 1, but 2 very short FG’s, the first one a 30 yarder and the second only slightly longer.

Mosley kicked a sort FG to send the game to OT. What set it up 2 plays earlier. with about a minute to go was a long completion from Bernie Kosar to Webster Slaughter inside the Jets 5. The Browns players then proceeded to celebrate burning 30 seconds of time, and forcing a incomplete pass on 1st down. Since the Browns had used all their timeouts on defense, Mosley had to kick the FG.

Mosley’s 2nd FG miss was in the 1st OT. And finally after watching Kosar throw for 487 yards, he kicked the game winning FG to end it!!!

Weekend predictions.........

RAVENS 20 TITANS 13

CARDINALS 24 PANTHERS 28

IGGLES 23 GIANTS 16

CHARGERS 13 STILLERS 24

The coldest outdoor sporting I ever attended was probably around 50 degrees. That's right, plus 50. That's what happens when one attends games only at the Rose Bowl, L.A. Coliseum, Dodger Stadium, Anaheim Stadium, and San Diego's old Jack Murphy Stadium.

did you have to remind us northerners?

Remember the Eagles/Bears fog bowl in 1988? Was that a wildcard game or divisional? I forget.....

If you’re not a woman, please turn in your Man Card at the nearest TTM(Testosterone Transaction Machine). Teams don’t win Superbowls because you like their coach so much.

you must be from Wisconsin

Your ability to do simple research is only exceeded by your ability to make an ass out of yourself. Congratulations.

“The Drive” in the Browns-Broncos game was the absolute best drive I have ever seen. I was in awe. And my team ended up losing that game.

Well I'm rooting for the following teams:

Cardinals even though I think they are going to lose..
Titans, Jeff Fisher used to play for the Bears..
Bolts, they are better than the record indicates. If it wasn't for the blown lead and the bad call they would have been 9 - 7 or 10 - 6. Plus their defense has improved.
Jiants and Iggles.. I hate both of the teams.. I just hate the Jiants (since they are from New York), as for the Iggles I hated them since Buddy Ryan was their head coach...

Well that's a game that I think has been overlooked. What about you?

One of my favorite divisional games was the "Mud Bowl", when the 49ers came to Green Bay back in 1997 and played in rainy but mild conditions that tore up Lambeau Field.

Yes, divisional games are when the greatest NFL games are played. I'm looking forward to today's and tomorrow's games, should be classics.

I suppose we could turn this thread into a discussion about cooking, if you like.

Best football food:

1. buffalo wings

1. chili

3. pizza

4. Subs

5. ?

“...since we produce the best quarterbacks the league has ever seen”

Yeah, you’ve had some great ones. Even though Terry Bradshaw acts so goofy as a comentator and takes himself so lightly, I remember that he lead a great team to four championships and I think he’s your #1.
