WHEN WILL obama LOSE THE NOV 08 ELECTION?

The OBAMA-TILT-O-METER or Buyers Remorse

This is a sorta re-do of an earlier posting. Freepers, please estimate the coming point in time when the election win numerical difference of those who voted for O vs Mc would shift to a McCain win once they get a better idea of obama and his policies.

I have been thinking about this since the day after election and how fast O will fall out of favor enough to have made a difference in the Nov 08 election.

Freeper Estimates on Tilt date welcome. My guess is that tilt will occur mid March.

Are you asking us to predict what day will obama’s popularity fall below mccains?

I think that will take a very very long time. But if you are asking what day will the obama-biden PACKAGE popularity fall below the mccain-palin PACKAGE popularity...that might happen in about 15 weeks. Maybe.

I’m gonna call it...May 31st

To predict the day(thereabout) that enough of O’biden-voters would change their mind (if repeating the election) and vote McPalin. When that ‘enough’ occurs to tilt to a slim McPalin victory.

There would only have to be enough vote changes in 3 states right?- PA, FL, OH. .

I am thinking something like mid-march or sooner.

I have been studying a coworker (semi-lib), who voted Perot= therefore = Clinton, (for something diff) Bush = antiClinton , Bush = WOT, Obama = something diff.

Today, Feb 3rd , i saw his first signs of ?s of his November decision. I’ll play along with his comments until i have a more definate read on him. I’m guessing next week he will “tilt” .

Obama didn't run against McLame. He ran against Dubya.

Obama's popularity will never sink lower than Dubya's.

If the only political Internet website that one visited were Free Republic, one would get the impression that Obama's impeachment is imminent.

However, if one goes to just about any other political website, one would get the impression that it's time to apply for tickets to The One's second inauguration.

The media (both news and entertainment) is continuing to revile Republicans. After the dust settles on Porkulus, the Republicans will be made to look even more like the second coming of Simon Legree.

The reality is the pork bill will pass and ACORN will receive its' $5B to fund future voter fraud. That in itself will guarantee Zero will be "re-elected" in 2012.

Then add the coming amnesty of 30+ million illegal mexicans who embrace socialism, the rats will have a permenent majority.

Also expect a change in the Constitution to allow a President to be "re-elected" forever.

The communists have overthrown America.

If we’re gonna go back in time, can we please go far enough back so McCain isn’t our candidate anymore?

According to the polls Barry has already started to fall from grace. It will be complete in a about another two weeks. I have begun to see liberal newscasters roll their eyes during a report on Barry. Stories reported that there is no stimulus only government growth.

"Obama's popularity will never sink lower than Dubya's."

Sure it will. His popularity is dropping like a rock. And once the next successful WMD strike on the US happens, he will be "persona non grata" even more than Bush.

"However, if one goes to just about any other political website, one would get the impression that it's time to apply for tickets to The One's second inauguration."

What, you mean like the NYT, WaPo, Politico, DU??

After his very SHORT time thus far in office, it is rapidly becoming apparent that "Obama the Magnificent" is really "Obama the Incompetent". Bush II is already looking good by comparison.

I get the feeling that the network guys are beginning to suffer SERIOUS "buyer's remorse".

I wish your impressions were correct, but I think you’re seeing what we want to see, not what’s happening or is going to happen.

You are correct. Since the head CEO GE is on Zeros eco panel and its' stations are running nothing but praises for the 0 and green tech all the time; 0 will still have much coverage (ass kissing) the likes we have never seen. This includes NYT, WAPO, CNBC (which has more people viewing than Fox Bus channel), MSNBC & NBC. Pravda is proud of them.

Unfortunately majority of the population in US get thier news from the Pravda stations.

My impressions are garnered from what little national news I watch. Obama's first weeks have been one major screwup after another. I don't recall ANY other newly elected president displaying such a degree of incompetence---not even "James Earl".

Choosing between Obama and McCain is like choosing the frying pan or the fire.

WE certainly dont need McCain. We need a real choice.

What media? You mean the dying newspapers, the stagnant network news, CNN and MessNBC? They’re losing consumers to blogs.

Yes it will and will set a new record. Obama is well on his way into the abyss.

Yep — anybody that thinks the mainstream media is not influential need look no further than the current occupancy of the Oval Office.

My pick is in about a year. February, 2010, after another brutal winter, another extension of unemployment, another rise in food stamp allotments, 12% unemployment, something in Afghanistan that is equivalent to Blackhawk Down and some botched handling of middle class protests over the ever-tightening communist noose.

I base this on my own history of being about 18 months ahead of the general masses in my likes/dislikes and general angst. I have been in survival and frugal mode since last April. I think that by the time winter returns, people will just be dreading it. By the time of the first thaw, next February, when folks see that they will be paying off the winter utility bills for at least another 6 months, plus whatever other surprises our rulers have in store for us, a lot of personal tipping points will have been passed.

The media will become a general joke as it pushes out PR that goes against what everyone is experiencing in reality. This isn’t a populace that takes easily to personal pain. Cold and broke is not a recipe for a happy electorate, especially if it is widespread and long term.
