One of the heroes of the game nearly became a bus driver.

The owner of the team walks to work every day. The fans of the team drink Iron City beer, wave dish towels and ignored the slumping economy

No way in hell that Ray Lewis and Ed Reed would ever allow a receiver to catch a ball and run forty yards straight up the center of the field untouched for a touchdown.

A nice article...thank you for the post. Look out for the Black and Gold h8ters; NFL conspiracy theorists; etc., to stop by and whine (w/no cheese) about everything Steeler related from the Immaculate Reception forward.

Speaking of the IR, did you know Franco Harris is considering running in the D primary for the US Senate (Specter's seat...and I would welcome him as a harmless D noobie, as opposed to all the damage our RINO Senior Senator is causing)...but I digress. If Franco does run, look for the Immaculate Reception videotapes to be reviewed more than the Zapruder film.

Yoi and double Yoi.

The Steelers deserve every accolade they get. And more. They exist as a professionally run, respected, successful organization in contrast to the Pittsburgh city and Allegheny County government which is the complete opposite in every way. The local Democrats have bled the taxpayers to near death while chasing corporations out of town.

“The owner of the team walks to work every day. The fans of the team drink Iron City beer, wave dish towels and ignored the slumping economy”

and blackmailed the politicians into building the stadium with taxpayer money.

I see you fly the S. Carolina flag on your home page (beautiful state...I love the Myrtle Beach area :)) so you wouldn't know the absolute 'breathless' reporting done on the stimulus package here. Why 'our' Arlen Specter 'saved' the plan and 'look at all the money' that is going to come here!!! Reporters at the Liberty Tunnel; reporters standing on various bridges; reporters hovering over the obligatory Pittsburgh late winter potholes...why 'everything' is going to be fixed here by the Porkulus.

We get the NBC Johnstown affiliate on our cable package...I haven't watched their local news, but I wonder how much more of the valley will be tagged 'John Murtha...this/that' due to the Pork he no doubt will drag home.

That said...you are correct about our Dem (or dim) public officials...and about the well run, and respected Steeler organization.

"No way in hell that Ray Lewis and Ed Reed would ever allow a receiver to catch a ball and run forty yards straight up the center of the field untouched for a touchdown."

Your right. In the AFC Championship Game, Holmes went 65 yards all over the field for his touchdown and the glorious Reed only had two tackles, no INTs for touchdowns unlike our Troy.

It's yinz if you're north of the Burgh, and yunz if you're south.

Harrison, with his spectacular 100-yard interception return at the end of the first half, made one of the greatest plays in Super Bowl history Sunday.

I saw this replay the other night. I saw at least two blatant fouls. One holding the other a block in the back. But what would one expect from thug James Harrison and his gang.

Dude? No i am not a Dude. Everyday is Pittsburgh day because we are the world champs once again. Nobody can touch us in any manner. Unlike the Sissys from New England we didn’t have to cheat to win our championship! As for Ray Lewis and the other has been i see we beat Baltimore THREE TIMES this year. HA HA HA They are almost as a gimmie as the Cleev browns. But i respect the new browns because they didn’t leave in the middle of the night like the ravenetts did. We’re Pittsburgh, Like it er not tough luck if you libe anywhere else.
