My goodness, if I didn’t know better, I would have ‘thunk’ that was me writing that! There for a while I was shredding like a maniac and now I hate it. I do put credit cards through it and some bank stuff but I am triple wrapping and if anyone wants to take the time to go through it, thats tough for me.

My SIL and I decided that with each bag of paper stuff, we should pull something out of the fridge (that we don’t recognize) and throw in with the paper work and let’em work through that stuff....LOL!

This has been a long winter. It started early and was busy the whoe season through. This is the fourth tough winter in a row. Before 2004 golfers played down on Cape Cod year round but not anymore! Global warming, my ass.

You expecting rain tonight?

Too bad water is so expensive to ship. I guess cloud seeding never really took off. Prayers heading your way!

Thank you, Lady..The farmers and ranchers really need it..Rain predictions are now at 70 percent, down from 90 and for later tonight..rain predicted for Thursday, too, so I am really hoping..Texas is loaded with big lakes...so far no water restrictions but grass fires are a problem lately.

A couple of years ago there was a monsoon season it seemed..more rain in the spring than I ever recall...and lots of flooding..I was sick of rain...Hard to believe now.

Good Morning Yorkie :)
I wish they would leave the time as it is now. It is nice to walk after dinner and it’s still light out.
Have a great day!

Flying Machines
I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears. —Psalm 6:6

Recording artist James Taylor exploded onto the music scene in early 1970 with the song “Fire and Rain.” In it, he talked about the disappointments of life, describing them as “sweet dreams and flying machines in pieces on the ground.” That was a reference to Taylor’s original band Flying Machine, whose attempt at breaking into the recording industry had failed badly, causing him to wonder if his dreams of a musical career would ever come true. The reality of crushed expectations had taken their toll, leaving Taylor with a sense of loss and hopelessness.

The psalmist David also experienced hopeless despair as he struggled with his own failures, the attacks of others, and the disappointments of life. In Psalm 6:6 he said, “I am weary with my groaning; all night I make my bed swim; I drench my couch with my tears.” The depth of his sorrow and loss drove him to heartache—but in that grief he turned to the God of all comfort. David’s own crushed and broken “flying machines” gave way to the assurance of God’s care, prompting him to say, “The Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord will receive my prayer” (v.9).

In our own seasons of disappointment, we too can find comfort in God, who cares for our broken hearts.

Even in my darkest hour
The Lord will bless me with His power;
His loving grace will sure abound,
In His sweet care I shall be found. —Brandt

God’s whisper of comfort quiets the noise of our trials.

Breakfast will be a bit different today, I have decided you all need something new to start the day with.

Small prime sirloin with a bourbon glaze
Sliced fried potatoes with Parmesan/cashew topping
Fried bread (in place of toast)
Several marmalade and jellys and fresh clover flower honey
A glass of chilled apple cider with a touch of cinnamon
Milk
Coffee or Tea
and for you hot cereal types, Hot Creme of wheat with finely ground peanuts (safe one!) folded in and a honey molasses to stir in for an amazing flavor.

If you still need something, there is a real German apple strudel, placed in a bowl while hot and drenched in a thick country creme.

I have removed all calories and cholesterol so enjoy without guilt or worry, seconds are encouraged if you share it with a friend and chat over the cups of coffee to follow!

The dawn of a new day, a new start in my life
the endless possibilities in fact run truly rife
I have the chance to spark something new
and you, my friend, I say in fact, so do you
