Good morning WayzataJOHNN :)
I hope when it gets a little warmer the deer will have enough food to stay in the woods here. That's when it will drive me nuts. If not, I have sprayed that deer stuff. It smells awful and then dries. They usually leave plants alone. I hope. :)
Have a terrific day!

Thanks so much Jaycee :)
Funny, when I first open the door, they look up startled. They realize it’s me and just carry on eating now. LOL I got some nice pictures this morning but unfortunately, the lighting was not good and their eyes are lit up.

I’d love to see the photos of your Dad too. Please ping me.
How nice he fed the squirrels by his hand. My sister always says taming a wild animal to do this is a sign of special blessing.

Lovely post! It started as a nice day here, now it's cloudy and windy. Tomorrow should be like spring. Enjoy your nice weather :)

Johnn, I tried that on the front porch in my concrete flower containers and it didn’t bother the squirrels at all. I was telling GeeBee that I don’t have deer here, but she does all the time. My sons have them but they don’t bother much. The squirrels chewed one of my bird feeders all to pieces a few months ago. I get so aggravated. And a little girl (yes, girl) was swinging my hummingbird feeder when I caught her and I lifted the blinds and hit the window hard with a spoon to make her stop. She ran home and in just a few minutes the whole bottom fell from the feeder. Makes me so mad.
This is not the first thing this little girl has broken at my house. When I go somewhere she messes with everything and I don’t like it. My neighbor and I both have called her mother and she will stay away a little while and then creep back up here.

Pretty graphic, GeeBee. Happy bird house hunting..I know I would love to see a deer here..and hate the plant destruction, too.

The squirrels use to damage my feeders too. I use this baffle and it works great. So long as the feeder is not too close to something they can jump from. They don't bother anymore. I give them a little seed in their area. ;) They are not too expensive either. Lowes or HD carries it.
Frustrating neighbor! No baffle for them unfortunately ;)

Sounds like the little girl is lonely, wants something ‘fun’ in her life. Had one like that here and I got her to help me care for the feeders and she ended up making them ‘hers’ Now their filled and cleaned and she takes pride in them, even more then i do.

Would that baffle fit on my shepherd’s hook? I bought this pretty tall hook last year, thinking the squirrels couldnt’t climb it but they can climb anything.

Good Morning Meg! Thanks for the coffee... don't mind if I do have a second cup!
I need to push myself away from this computer now! Been sitting watching mom and pop eagle feed their three babies at Norfolk, VA. Such a awesome site.

I do not want to sound hard hearted but I raised my two sons and helped with my two granddaughters growing up and I just don’t need any more children around. I hate to tell you but she is destructive. I have a little concrete ‘Morton’s Salt Girl with Umbrella.” It went with an old birdbath. The birdbath had to go and I put the little girl on a pedestal. The neighbor’s little girl came up when I was gone (my other neighbor saw her) and she knocked it over into the bark. It did not break the girl, but broke the stem on the umbrella and the stem screwed into the umbrella and to a metal piece in the little Morton’s girl’s hand. The metal stem was strong, almost like iron ecause water ran through it when it was on my birdbath. So I am not willing to share. Her parents need to take care of her.
Their house is for sale and I sure hope they sell it. This was a wonderful place until they moved there. Hope you don’t get the wrong idea about me as I try to be a good, kind person. I just don’t want anyone messing around my house when I’m not here. I have a little basket of seashells on my wrought iron table on the patio and she dumps them out all over the table if I am not here. There’s many things I won’t mention. She hasn’t been taught manners and to respect other people’s things.
Now I must get to work ASAP!!!

Good morning, Meg.
I didn't get here to participate yesterday.
As usual, you were the perfect hostess. Thank you.
Thank you for the beautiful Opening yesterday.
It was wonderful to read Yorkie's memories that your opening rekindled.
I loved all of your flower replies yesterday.
Thank you again for being here every Sunday.
