Ahead of the opening of his new film "X-Men Origins: Wolverine," Hugh Jackman was feeling pretty generous.
TMZ reports that Jackman dropped $4,308.87 on breakfast for 800 lucky fans in Tempe, Ariz. Receipts indicate that he bought 87 breakfast trays and 80 gallons of coffee from Paradise Bakery, which is near the theater where fans had been camping out the day before Monday's movie premiere.
The breakfast items were reportedly pretty simple -- platters of bagels, muffins and croissants.

This movie is nuts - there were lines at the theater here in town. $100 million opening weekend, IMO.

I’m kind of embarrassed to admit it but I’m probably Wolverine’s oldest fan. (I have a real soft spot for good guys). I’m going to have to get to the theater to see this one. Jackman was great as Wolverine in the other two.

And Jackman was one of the main producers for the movie as well. His wallet is going to be thickened greatly.
I was at the theaters last night around 9pm and there was a big line forming for the 12pm show.
Funny, as for Hugh Jackman, I always thought he should get together with Clint Eastwood and remake some of his classics. Jackman looks like Eastwood’s son!
I liked the character when I was a kid, but while Jackman kinda looks the part, he plays it way too soft and cuddly, with an aw-shucks ‘tude, telling the audience you know he REALLY has a heart of gold. The X-Men movies were OK at best, but these characters just haven’t been done properly. The Wolverine movie’s getting horrible reviews—which may mean nothing, but you do pick up vibes, and this one seems like a stinker.
You’re right. He could do a young Eastwood.
