Playboy? LOL! Sinking down the tubes. Another death watch publication. Their switch to video may not save them. Hefner is a pimp who exploits women.

The enemy we’re facing is slightly more committed, fanatical, and tough than that patywaisted metrosexual journalist. And that is why the US had to elevate interrogations to that level for a whopping two mohammedan bastards.

All this talk about the effects of waterboarding and the accompanying videos is tiring. Perhaps the stories would be more relevant if alongside the video of the waterboarding demonstration, a video of someone's decapitation with a dull, ceremonial knife was also shown.
Then the view would have a better context on which to base his conclusions about the "cruelty" of waterboarding.

“journalist” and “Playboy”. Those are 2 words that’s comparable to, Oh you know..”Obama” and “intelligence”.

Set the Playboy Tower in Chicago on fire and let the foppish dandy jump from the top.
In this way the sheltered SoftBoy can more adequately compare levels of “cruelty”

That was pretty cool. Even going into it, surrounded by people he knows in a secure setting, that little trick just pushes the right buttons. neat.

1. It didn’t look like torture.
2. It’s hard to believe he could only withstand 5 seconds of it (but I’m not getting in line and laying down my money to be next.) I’m just shocked that that’s all it took.

You overestimate him by a large margin.

I thought it was interesting because I always wanted to know how it was done. It didn't seem to very complicated. I heard stories that in Vietnam the US soldiers would waterboard vietcong with their canteens and cellophane. I don't consider this to be torture.

Actually, I think it might be GOOD to see so many folks offering themselves up for ‘waterboarding’. It will certainly diminish its reputation as ‘torture’, in the public mind, if regular folks see that there are people willing to volunteer to have it done to themselves.

Anyone that can hold their breath can withstand waterboarding for 15 seconds. Its needing that next breath that gives you anxiety.

Thanks for posting this. I think more people actually seeing the procedure will help gain some reality on the subject.

A lot of people can hold their breath underwater for 15 seconds.
It’s the last 15 seconds without air that’s the most significant.

KSM lasted 17 seconds and spilled his guts about everything to the interrogators. 17 seconds for a man committed to dying for his cause

"I thought it was interesting because I always wanted to know how it was done. Please don't misunderstand. I wasn't criticizing you for posting the thread, I just wish that these "journalist" would put waterboarding in some context or perspective.
We have been waterboarding close to 500 of our own troops and aviators annually for dozens of years during SERE training. To classify anything that can be done during a training evolution as torture is ridiculous on it's face. We also gas new recruits, is that torture? And sometimes, we run soldiers and marines in full-combat gear until many throw up, pass out or lose control of their bodily functions. I suppose the NYT's would also define this as torture.
