The Future Break Up of the United States of America
Post Scripts ^ | 5/7/09 | Don Koenig

Posted on 05/07/2009 2:58:22 PM PDT by OneVike

The United States of America is really 50 sovereign states in a union and that union can dissolve just like the Soviet Union did. This article will give some possibilities how that break up can occur but there certainly could be other scenarios for this to happen.

The major possibility is that after national elections socialist/liberal/progressive forces take control of the executive and legislative branches of government and soon thereafter the Supreme Court. They then would proceed to pass and uphold every sort of socialist legislation such as: hate speech laws, gun laws, immigration laws, socialized medicine, social activism and secular humanism agendas in schools and places of work, outlawing of home schooling, expanding social give-away programs, passing tax laws that burden the middle-class, implementing carbon restrictions and fees, increasing big brother/nanny state police powers and many other laws and regulations that subvert individual freedoms given under the Constitution of the United States for what they will claim to be the greater good of society.

“The Left Coast and the North East will starve. (Although California does have a large agricultural potential.)”

California is the LARGEST agriculture peoducing state in the union. Has been all my life.

Not potential; fact.

They may get enough of those people with some sort of catalyst or incident.

If there is such a catalyst, some sort of “secessionist movement” is possible. It is not beyond comprehension that such a catalyst occurs, I enumerate some in a previous post.

What would cause you to revolt?

An what happened in Germany in the 1930's? They found a solution, alright.

I had a German teacher in High School who said just this. Basically they did not care where the bread came from, just that it came.

It was the Commies and the Jews in Germany, it will be those Christians here.

Let's hope it does not happen.

“OK so what about Fort Bragg? Or say Parris Island, military training bases have lots of troops ... So what if North Carolina wants to leave the Union? Same thing all over again?”

The short answer is I dunno. Fort Bragg is a tough one.

North Carolina has about 9 million people so theoretically they could assemble a large enough force to take Fort Bragg directly if they made such a silly decision.

In practice, there's some pure Red areas in western NC but overall there's a lot of light red, blue and purple. It wouldn't be everyone in the State who was willing to secede and the fight would not be just between secessionists and Fort Bragg, but between secessionists and their neighbors.

In fact that's the way it is across much of the United States. The secessionist contingent seems to think the lines will be clear cut by State and or region. They won't be. If it comes, it'll be county against county against city. Neighborhood against neighborhood. Some places neighbor against neighbor.

If it comes, it may be really ugly.

Keep in mind that I use Plasmas metaphorically, to represent a fat, dumb, and happy society (that thinks they’re wealthy).

I used to think that 0bama would cause the death of America. however, I am beginning to believe that he's just a symptom of the problem. America's days could be over.

Let's take the Roman empire for example. Augustus the first emperor in about, let's use this as datum, in 1 A.D. Look at the Roman emperors from 200 - 220 A.D.

Pertinax (murdered), Didius Julianus who won his job in auction (executed), Septimius Severus (natural Causes), Caracalla (murdered by the army), Geta (murdered), Macrinus (murdered), Diadumenian (murdered) and our buddy Elegabalus (decapitated and thrown in the sewer). Empires run the courses.

I think we are heading to some sort realignment in the next 20 to 50 years.

This whole thing is going to be interesting to watch. I wonder if it’s the same way people felt back in 1855 just prior to the Civil War ....

I would tend to agree with you to a point. While I agree that Obama is a symptom of our decaying Republic, he is also the tool that will be used by God to put the final nail in our coffin. I read an interesting statistic that I am going to use in an article I am writing. The statistic goes to the heart of the problem we as a former Christian country face.

I say former because we have not shown the fruits of a Christian society for quite some time. The difference in the way the Christian clergy of America looks at important societal values now compared to the way they looked at them in 1998 is astonishing. Then, if you look at the percent of protestant Christian's who actually voted for the Socialist agenda and Obama in the last election add to the picture.

Now take what I just told you and add to the mix the misinformation the left has been feeding America for the last 4 to 8 years. The misinformation they have been pressing on America is that Jesus was a Socialist. They have been telling people that because Jesus was a Socialist, He would support the Socialist agenda of the left.

It may seem like just another attack upon Christianity, but it is worse then most people realize. By convincing the politically uneducated Christians that Jesus Christs would have a fondness for and and support the Social programs, they have made it more palatable to vote for a Democrat who only cares for the downtrodden and under privileged American.

The result was the highest percent of Christian vote the Democrats have received in years. Without a solid hold upon the Christian vote, the Republicans are looking at a long road back, if in fact they ever do make it back.

Now this is written off the top of my head, and I may not be as clear as I wish, but I hope you get my drift. Christians need to be reached with the truth, but most pastors are afraid of teaching the truth that might be a bit political. Also, many pastors would actually argue that Jesus was a Socialist, that is because they do not understand the actual concept of political Socialism. That and the Church has relinquished their responsibility to the state years ago.

So you can see why I agree you. Obama is a symptom of our decay, but with a full court press on to destroy the voices of truth, we will be hard pressed ourselves to re-educate the confused and indoctrinated masses. Obama will be the tool used to keep us from reclaiming our position as a dominant country in the world. So we will hear more and more talk of secession as time goes forward from now.

Keep an eye out for my article and you will see the numbers I am talking about. They truly will astound you.

If the US split, I would think the most Western and Eastern states would be seperate, but I would think that most of Middle America would stick together...as most of these are conservatives and for the most part on the same wave link...

I didn’t mean all of Texas, just parts of it along the border with Mexico.

“OK, each state now has its National Guard. Can’t the president call them to national service and put down any rebellion by a state government?”

Constituionally, no.

Article 4 section 4
The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government, and shall protect each of them against Invasion; and on Application of the Legislature, or of the Executive (when the Legislature cannot be convened) against domestic Violence.

This does not, however, says Barbeyrac, hinder but each confederated state may provide for its particular safety, by repressing its rebellious subjects. And herewith the present constitution of the United States fully agrees. For although congress are bound to guarantee to every state in the union a republican form of government, and to protect each of them against invasion; and also against domestic violence; yet this last is only to be done where the legislature, or executive of the state (where the legislature cannot be convened) shall make the application.
George Tucker Of the Several Forms of Government, SECTION XII

A State has to request assistance from or give permission to the federal government before the federal government can use military force inside the State.

-----

There is also-

Article VI. - The United States
This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land; and the Judges in every State shall be bound thereby, any Thing in the Constitution or Laws of any State to the Contrary notwithstanding.

Every State as some form or other of this in their own Constitutions -

THE TEXAS CONSTITUTION
Article 1 - BILL OF RIGHTS
Section 24 - MILITARY SUBORDINATE TO CIVIL AUTHORITY
The military shall at all times be subordinate to the civil authority

***

This IS all providing, of course, anyone pays any attention to any of the Constitutions.

No way any self-respecting Michigan resident EVER be under the influence of Canada. We've learned from our Granholm mistake (I think). And Texas as part of a Mexico influence/Mexico? Only if millions of Mexicans storm the border. I could never see Texas going down without a fight.

And no way South Carolina, Tenn. or Kentucky joins any European union.
