It seems to me that the most likely reason for a breakup would have to do with massive immigration from south of the border; Florida, Texas, and California — which are also three of the four largest states — have considerable Hispanic (even non-English-speaking) populations. Those three states also have water shortages, and California (at least) has uncontrolled growth, to the tune approximately of 1200 housing units a week just a few years ago.

Thanks Perdogg.

The result was the highest percent of Christian vote the Democrats have received in years. Without a solid hold upon the Christian vote, the Republicans are looking at a long road back, if in fact they ever do make it back.

I disagree with your premise entirely. The Republicans actively sought to distance themselves from the Christians, while the Democrats actively sought their support.

With Republicans distancing themselves from the Pro-Life movement, core social conservative principles, and refusing to stand for lawful order (a concept Christians understand and will submit to), the only political drivers left to appeal to Christians on are social justice matters, which puts them in the Democrat's camp.

If Republicans do not stand for Judeo-Christian ethics and the Pro-Life movement, socialist concepts of social justice are the next best thing. The fault is not with the Christians, who are finding things to support which they believe in. The fault is in the Republicans for refusing to support the things that Christians find to be the most precious.

Durn tootin. We in the red have the food and we have the oil and the refining capacity. Let the others break off. We will starve their azzes in 14 days. Let Noo Yolk figure out what to do when they get no gasoline or food for 14 days. Oooops, we have another crisis, but, this time, nobody is going to listen.

The talk is that the military will take their arms and take them home with them. The Resident does not have solidarity by any means. You have to remember that half the country hated him before the election. 40% did not even vote because of that and he still only skinned by by 4% points. His 60% approval rating? Ha. Even the blacks are beginning to have great buyers remorse. Check out the youtube of Dr. Manning. The title is, Her name is Ms Ann.

This breakup isnt likely going to happen. The Mexicans think that they are going to break off the Southwest, but still what will they have once they do? More desert? The nasty buggers have not figured that we still have the food. Kalifornicate is not self sufficient, and China is not going to feed them. Once they turn the SW United States into an expanded Tijuana, they will still starve. The red states still have the food base, we have the oil and gas, and we have the refining capacity. The thing is a lot of that is in Texas. If they mess with Texas, and Texas goes independent, they loose it all. I ask again, what will the coasts do without food or fuel? Eh?
