3-year-old Neb. girl raped, killed as family slept (importing crime alert)
Journalstar.com ^ | 5-24-09 | Michele Linck and Meagan Sexton

Posted on 05/25/2009 6:10:29 AM PDT by stan_sipple

A 29-year-old man accused of raping and suffocating a 3-year-old girl inside the South Sioux City home where her family was sleeping Saturday morning was in an Iowa jail Sunday, awaiting extradition to Nebraska.

De Jesus Melisio-Camacho was arrested in Sioux City, Iowa, around 6 a.m. Saturday, less than an hour-and-a-half after South Sioux City police got a call from the hospital where the girl was pronounced dead. She had been taken there by family.

Authorities have not released the victim’s name or address, but said both parents and two siblings were in the house at the time of the attack.

South Sioux City Police Chief Scot Ford said Sunday he believes the girl’s family and Melisio-Camacho’s family were friends in Mexico.

Ford said authorities have little information about Melisio-Camacho’s background. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has been called in to determine his legal status.

The victim’s brother, just a few years older than she, was able to provide information that helped police locate the suspect quickly.

“The perp broke into the house, sexually assaulted the child by raping and sodomizing her and then the child was killed. We believe by suffocation,” Ford said.

Ford said the attacker apparently entered through a window that was malfunctioning so as to have made little noise. Police described the home as a small house with at least two bedrooms.

Her mother discovered the attack around 5 a.m., when she awoke to care for a months-old baby girl.

Ford said a police officer had stopped Melisio-Camacho near the home at 3:45 a.m. Saturday but let him go, unaware of the crime. That contact later helped police put the suspect in the area around when they believe the crime occurred, between 1 and 3:30 a.m.

Melisio-Camacho, who was living with several other men, is charged with first-degree murder, sexual assault and burglary.

Melisio-Camacho is being held in Woodbury County, Iowa.

Ford said he didn’t know of a motive for the crime.

“What kind of motive can you have for that kind of crime other than mental depravity, predatory activity?” Ford said.

There should be summary execution for people like this. Arrange a ury, have a trial, and also allow for appeals. The guy should be dead within a week.

The is justice. What we have now is not.

I hope the family gets a dog, so this will never happen again.

Just raping and murdering the little girls Americans won't.

This is why I detest McCain, Jorge Arbusto, Ted Kennedy, Lindsay Graham, Cornyn, Crist, Schumer, Napolitano, etc...

They value campaign contributions and (likely as not, I'll bet) under-the-table bribes from corrupt businessmen, more than children's lives.

RIP. When will this madness end ?

When several US Senators' infant daughters get raped.

And even then, I'm not sure -- they might try to shift the blame to Rush Limbaugh and his anti-gay, racist agendaTM.

Till then, the only cure is to vote out EVERY incumbent from DC in 2010 and 2012. A lawful purge by the voters.

Suck the FenateTM

Cheers!

I assume the dead child was not the daughter of a Democratic politician, immigration lawyer, professional illegal immigration activist, chamber of commerce president, Wall Street Journal editorial writer or a member of the Bush family. Just another death among we the riffraff. Merely an unfortunate byproduct of keeping labor costs low.

Wow, Souix City has a virtually non-existent crime rate. I remember when we went there about 15 years ago, the front page was worried about the recent “Crime Spree”. Someone was busting windows out in cars in downtown area. Not stealing anything, just busting the windows. We were like, wow, that’s a crime spree?

Prayers for this family and the now shaken community.

There is no acceptable excuse for this type of behavior. Even animals treat other animals better than this. There’s no reported animal attempts to rape other species and then sodomize and smother them.

This man and his ilk are not animals, they are beings below animals. Even slugs and roaches don’t act as he did.

The time between trial’s end and execution for this poorest excuse for a man should not exceed eight days.

Illegal aliens need to be treated the same as illegal firearms. They need to get the Illegals off the streets and target the dealers and accomplices.

If a cop pulled you over at night and saw a gun, it is likely he would try to determine the legal status of your firearm.

If a cop pulls you over at night and suspects you might be an illegal alien, he should determine your legal status before letting you go.

Check this one wolfcreek. It seems it’s always the same...these sick twisted freaks have criminal records and are just allowed to stay free and destroy everyone around them.

http://www.kget.com/news/local/story/CPS-Blinded-boy-attack-could-not-have-been/3NPtnByHeU-eUvdJGpCysw.cspx

Even though the father had a lengthy criminal record, there was nothing the county could have done to protect a little boy whose father bit out his eyes, the head of Kern County Department of Human Services said Tuesday morning.

DHS Director Pat Cheadle was preparing to brief the Board of Supervisors on what happened to 4-year-old Angelo Mendoza Jr.

Police said the boy’s father bit him on the face April 28. One eye was damaged beyond repair, police said, and the other was gone — it could not be found, and police believe the father ate it.

‘’My Daddy ate my eyes,’’ the boy told a detective.

Police arrested Angelo Mendez Sr., 34, who has a long criminal record. He has been charged in more than 20 cases and pleaded no contest three years ago to child endangerment.

This bastard, on being found guilty after a fair trial, needs to be summarily executed. Give him one week for appeals...no more.

Anyone who would do this does not deserve to draw the same air the rest of us draw. Irrespective of his mental state. I say he is too deranged to remain alive...can never be rehabilitated, would never want to try in any case, and is not worth our tax monies to maintain more than the short duration between conviction and execution.

Big tall tree, short stiff rope.

Actually we do NOT have the electric chair anymore, It was ruled unconstitutional in the last few years. However, we will have "lethal injections". So, I suppose there is a chance he could get that.....but don't hold your breath....

An 1895 supreme court decision ruled that jurors “need not be told of their rights”. That decision has led to the dumbing down of juries and taken control from them.

Those rights include things like the ability to ignore a judge telling them they must rule in accordance with the law. The ability to call and question witnesses. The ability to decide for themselves what is and isn’t admissable in a court of law.

JOHN ADAMS (1771): It’s not only ....(the juror’s) right, but his duty, in that case, to find the verdict according to his own best understanding, judgement, and conscience, though in direct opposition to the direction of the court.

JOHN JAY (1794): The jury has a right to judge both the law as well as the fact in controversy.

ALEXANDER HAMILTON (1804): Jurors should acquit even against the judge’s instruction....”if exercising their judgement with discretion and honesty they have a clear conviction that the charge of the court is wrong.”

SAMUEL CHASE (1804): The jury has the right to determine both the law and the facts.

OLIVER WENDELL HOLMES (1920): The jury has the power to bring a verdict in the teeth of both the law and the facts.

U.S. vs. DOUGHERTY (1972) [D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals]: The jury has....”unreviewable and irreversible power...to acquit in disregard of the instructions on the law given by the trial judge.”

"Wonder what Mexican authorities would have done to this murdering pervert if he and the family had stayed where they belonged?"

Having dealt with Mexican Police, both Municiple and Federalies (Judical Police) I'll take a stab at answering your question.

If the father or one of the uncles (maternal or paternal) were to stab this POS within a few hours of the discovery, then "Nobody saw Nothing".

Unless the family (of the victim) had money, even a couple of hundred USD), for you see the law has been broke and a price must be paid.

If the family of the Avenger were to have serious money - i.e. a bunch of relatives working in the USA, then the moditha extracted would be greater.

If the POS's family had serious money, then it gets interesting. Everyone would go to jail in the (child's) victims family. Someone would be expected to 'man up' and do a few years in a prison - and everyone would take pride in making the life of the prisoner more comfortable (i.e. bribes to guards - family - contact visits) But the family would gain great status in their community - i.e. don't screw with them - they have killers at their disposal. Very macho thinking ya, but it's Mexico.

All comes down to how much money can be had by judicial authorities....

Remember, the Mexicans wanted 'Dog" Chapman - the bounty hunter to do serious time as he had embarrassed the corrupt system. (And Dubya was willing to throw him to the wolfs)

As I have been saying for YEARS the real threat to Americans is not Al Queda but the crime wave that is and will be coming from our southern border. Just wait for the kidnapping for ransom/sex slave industry ramps up. If only our media, including talk radio, spent 25% as much time on this topic as they do on the “war on terror” Americans would demand a 20’ tall 2,000 mile fence on our border.

Well, before the advent of giving drivers’ licenses to illegal immigrants, determining your ‘legal’ status was as quick as seeing if you had a license, which everyone who’s driving needs to have.

So, the only real way to fix that would just be to stop issuing illegals drivers licenses. Cop pulls you over at night, you’ve got a license, it goes like usual. Cops pull you over at night and you don’t have a license, then they can start worrying about your legal status. Anything else gets tricky - not everyone’s going to have a passport or something on them, and if it’s 3 AM, how the heck are they going to be able to ‘determine your legal status’ easily?
