VH1 comedian Chuck Nice appeared on Tuesday's "Today" show and compared Alaska Governor Sarah Palin to the sexually transmitted disease herpes. He mocked, "But, Sarah Palin to the GOP, this is what I've got to say, she is very much like herpes, she's not going away."
The "Best Week Ever" host amazingly preceded his comments by instructing the show's hosts and his fellow guests, who were there to discuss news events in the 10am hour of the show, "...Please don't take it the way it sounds." Amazingly, no one on the program really challenged Nice on his ugly remark. NBC News chief legal analyst Dan Abrams mildly observed, "That's the advantage of being Chuck Nice. You can say that and there's no repercussions." Nia-Malika Henderson, the White House reporter for Politico, said nothing.
Defiant, Nice continued, "Everybody's laughing. I don't care. The band is cracking up." Anchors Hoda Kotb and Kathy Lee Gifford quickly moved onto other topics. Would such a comment about Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton have gone unquestioned on "Today?"

Listening to Rush today I had a thought. The dims hope he gets kidney disease. It would be a nice counter to that if Rush were to say he knows he is getting sick because he has to vomit everytime he hears ZERO speak.

In this case, it would be a bad bargain. $200 for the court fine plus $200,000+ for treating whatever blood-borne pathogens Todd might catch from the idiot as a result of “putting a stop to this.”
Whatever that idiot is infected with it is probably too strong for bandages and penicillin to fix.
Far, far better for Todd to let the idiot run his mouth. Idiots have a way of falling victim to self-inflicted injuries, thus not requiring good people to bark their knuckles on them.

Chuck Nice reminds me very much of the Bubonic Plague. A big black boil whose appearance means nothing but bad news...
Do you see one link to all of these stories trashing Palin. It is the Left Wing media and it is coming at the same time.
The Dems and the Left see all the popularity Palin is garnering against Obama and she is making a lot of progress. The DNC had talking points going out on trashing Palin and the left wing nuts are complying.
They are scared to death of Palin because she is the only person who is the only Republican elected official who is standing up against Obama.
She is not scared and it is leaving a dent on Obama and the Dems. Continue to pray for Sarah Palin.
Works better on TV where the good guys win. More than 20 years ago now, when I was young and stupid a much larger middle aged man (my age now) socked me good when I called his wife a fat cow. Less than a minute later he was on the ground begging me, in front of his wife no less, to stop hitting him. As it resolved, he could have pressed charges against me for fighting words, but it wouldn't have been a good deal for him as he'd have had to suck up the greater charge of assault.
The lesson here is to think twice about punching someone over something as petty as an insult, even if you have 8 inches and 60 pounds on them. You never know who you're hitting, and you could easily pick the guy who's spent his whole life training for nothing else.
I'll never make that mistake. I let insults roll off my back, and if it looks like I'm going to be assaulted I draw my weapon. No macho posturing involved.
Andrew Dice Clay tried this schtick for comedy once. What goes around, comes around. Palin defenders need to learn pick their fights a bit more wisely.
